I always think that there is no better way to celebrate the achievements of our top female sports stars than to give them a passing mention (no names) in a quick post with a gambling flavour alongside a mare (named).
smiler with spell checkers on here couldn't guarantee I'd get our gold medal winners full names right. Laura Muir abit easier to remember, thought she had a chance of adding to our gold medal winners. Hope I haven't jinxed her. Thought I'd not seen or heard of her for abit. Doha it's her comeback after injury. Been out since July. So up to full speed/fitness?

The name thing wasn't really the point of my post. The point was that our world class female athletes got the same treatment as a mare in a post about 'girls' in sport.
I know nothing much about horse racing. Laura Muir though has a sporting chance and may well gallop to a medal and possibly gold in what appears to be an open field. The going should suit her and she may be better for the run out in the semi-final.
