Centre half signed from Bury today, announced on O/S.

I don't remember seeing him play but he is a good age at 26 and seems to be quite highly rated.  Plus it is a permanent signing, on a two year deal.

On the face of it, a good signing.

I agree, we need the wingers as I think we know that width and ability to change tactics

Welcome to the club Adam. Don't worry Stadler & Waldorf will be here soon to pour cold water over all the perceived positivity.

Welcome to the club don't know anything about him see how he plays we are going to need cover. One of those wingers could be from Brentford we have supposed to have got one lined up.

That's our most important signing in. We can now cover right back with Ihiekwe, left back with Robertson and still have two CBs to play in the middle. Any other signings will be a bonus and will determine our flexibility in terms of formation and tactics. Welcome Adam - I hope you're as good as your Dad Phil!

much needed and better late than never.

Still, with Wood a shoo-in at CB and possibly our best striker for the last few seasons Im not sure it adds too much to the quality or formation GM. I even saw Woody practically run down the left last night and was more advanced than Robertson or Matt on several occasions. Total God.

The highlight of last night was when Wood left Jordan Rhodes in his wake in a sprint. There was a communal gasp of disbelief and admiration in the West Stand!
