No Championship move then. Instead a League One club once the transfer window dust had settled. He deserves a decent reception when he comes back to NYS. I never really rated him but he always gave 100% and we can never ask for more than that. He will do a job for them in League One.
Agree with smiler left us with big ideas about a 3 year deal with a championship club I thought he always gave 100% wish him luck apart from when they play us.
Afraid I don't share the sympathy others have for Taylor. Apart from his goal at Portsmouth and his performance against the Blades at NYS, I can't recall anything notable about him which justified his 'most expensive signing status'. His reputed pace was an optical illusion - because he was so small his legs moved fast but his actual speed was ordinary. He never looked as if he could ever beat a player and his crossing\shot were abysmal. Apart from that, yeah, he tried hard. His over-inflated opinion of his own ability led to him refusing an offer to stay with us and the transfer market has found him out. Doncaster is a step down for him but I still think he'll be playing a League above his abilities. As for receptions when he returns to NYS, I'll be delighted to see him playing for the opposition!
Agree with just about everything Glenn says. I feel similar about Forde and the much loved on here Williams.. I do not think Mattock will be losing any sleep if any of those three ordinary players are picked to face him.
