I'm giving the 4 3 3 formation a really good chance as I hate the one up front formation with a passion.and hands off to Warne for trying an attacking formation Just need that defender bids.failed onwards and upwards Going with the same team as v Wimbledon. Baring any injuries Iversen Olusonde Ihiekwe robertson mattock Wiles or crooks barlaser McDonald Smith ladapo vassell

3-1 to Lincoln 433 has already been worked out by most teams I am not very positive about this team if Wiles doesn't play make it 4-1 I know what I am talking about I go to every home game.

If you had been to the 3 home games you'll have seen we are relying on Vassell to be our left wide player. That's debateable. Proctor & Morris can't play wide. I want Lapado & Smudger up front feeding off the supply. Don't want like tues Smith on the right wing.

Wow that's some statement Th Miller that 4.3.3 has been worked out by most teams. How many teams played 4.3.3 in our division last Saturday? Five played it and four won. The teams who won were us, Fleetwood, Rochdale and Wycombe. Only Bristol Rovers lost and they were missing their talisman JCH.
Now i am not saying it's the holy grail and it's not my preferred way of setting up. However, that is what our management team has decided on and i am prepared to give it a chance before condemning it. Lincoln will set up with my favourite formation. 4.2.3.1. It will be hard for us to get a grip of the midfield and there back four and two holding midfielders will keep it tight and press at every opportunity. In an earlier post i said Barlaser should play more forward. I have changed my mind and think he should play as the deeper holding midfielder of the three. If Warne is brave i think he will go with wiles and Crooks as the two in front of Barlaser. I don't think he will start with wiles but go for MacDonald. So it's 1-4 then Th. Lol

I just don't like to see players being played out of position Smith is a good example some people are calling for him to be dropped it is not his fault. when we lose tomorrow I expect warney to hit the panic button and fetch a couple of wide players in.

its not like 433 is a magic trick. I dont think its just a case of knowing a formation and "working it out". Its the execution of all the parts of the play that make the formation.

PW seems very confident so far and seems to want to prove he has a team that can attack all the teams in this league. Good for him. Time will tell and Saturday will show how much he has learnt thus far. He seems to be saying he knows what he is doing. I prefer this Warne to last years. long may it continue.

Happy to go with it too as Im not fan of what we did last season.

The formation of both teams will have strong and weak points.

A promoted side is always an extra challenge and by the same token a win against them will be a nice mark for us.

If you haven't seen them this season prepare to see a side relying on the full backs for the width. Nobody who can take corners. Mattock is taking them that tells you the problem. No wonder Olosunde is feeling his back. I haven't been sold on any of the midfielders apart from Wiles. Morris & Proctor both?

If the 50mph gale force winds materialise it'll be anybody's game. Events being called off all over the country in anticipation of foul weather and if the H & S brigade get involved.................

Warney he's on about in the tizer today about Jones being injured. No surprise he didn't play for 2 seasons before he joined us. Macdonald same. He looks to me not moving right. But according to people on here I don't know anything.

Less than 500 tickets left nearly a sell out lets see what our players are made of if you can't play with that size of crowd I give up.

Stand by everyone. On the 0830 train from Lincoln to Rotherham - I think the whole of Lincoln are on their way to the NYS (via a few pubs no doubt)!

Shame about the wind but won't dampen the 9ccassion too much.

First time I can remember being excited about facing Lincoln.

They have done amazing and like ours there fan base has increased. Good luck to them.

History says home win.

Lincoln remined me of us a few years ago. They are on the rise. Good luck to them. Its fantastic that they are filling the away end, and that they are coming full of confidence. Its a challenge for us. Great to have a near full house. We should be confident because we are in a good place ourselves, with a good set up and plenty of very good players. Matches like this are why we all love the game. Can't wait for 3 o'clock!
