Forde has joined Oxford and PW has confirmed that there is no chance of Taylor returning to the Millers. We moved on from these rather average players, together with the other two wingers (can't remember their names!) who left in the close season. Our new squad looks much more athletic, dynamic and potent without them and I really don't think we'll miss them one jot!

Strangely enough, towards the end of last season there was a thread on the Blades message board entitled if you could take one player from each Championship side, who would it be. Predictably they went for Vaulks, but Taylor was very very close behind, indicating that he must have had a good game against the Blades, despite the general levels of hate exhibited by the usual posters.

Taylor was never a winger but were could we play him? Didn't mind his attitude. Wish him well.

Where is the width in the team only got the right back bombing down the wing. Wiles can give us a bit of wide play but how often will he play?. Wish Forde all the best always gave 100% a least he could cross a ball.

I think both Taylor and Forde need new agents. To go so long through the summer without having a club lined up is a poor reflection on whoever is representing them.

Forde is a steady player who will do ok in league one with Oxford.

No problem with either of them in terms of attitude and professionalism, and no hard feelings that they chose to move on. They've got to do what they think is right for their careers. Forde in my opinion is workmanlike and will do a job in League One. Taylor occasionally excites with his pace and all-action style but like so many wingers he frustrated with his end product. His best game of the season by far was at home to the Blades when he terrorised their right wing back Freeman from the left wing. I hope he gets himself a good move. I'd be surprised if it was with anyone higher than League One. I'm happy enough that we are moving on too.
