Never predict but will say we have our strongest squad on paper for a good few years now.

I do not see how anyone can see this as the strongest squad, a strong 14/15 but we lack defensive cover including the keeper, our first choice defence leaks goals for fun through pre-season, squad still short of a few players for me. What we have got is good but not enough to compete over 46 games against the big clubs in the league and there is always a surprise team like shrewsbury the other year. I think 5th at best likely to be 7th or 8th. I would take that now as building a club is better than i one off team

We’ve got three keepers on the books so not sure how much more cover we need in that area. We can’t really afford to pay good money out for a decent keeper to sit and be number two that’s why Price is still with us.

We are actively after another defender, after that I can’t see much more what we will need. Plenty of bodies up front and in midfield.

I see what you are saying Derby about being a bit short on numbers. Price is an ok cover for Iversen. His problem is his kicking which is ordinary at best. I am worried about cover at the back and a holding midfield player. Ihiekwe and Robertson are first choices for Central defence with only Wood and Cooper as cover. Warne knows we need a central defender and is trying to get one. I also think we need cover at full backs. Jones is out injured again and Clarke is recovering from a knock inflicted by our third choice keeper. Hinds was given the runaround by a rookie winger at Bradford and looks well short of what is required. Even today in training he looked well behind the others. In my opinion he would benefit from a season long loan somewhere. I also believe another holding midfielder with experience is required. We have a very youthful look in midfield with Wiles Barlaser, Lindsay and Crooks. Nothing wrong with that but i would like to see another older head added.
