Have been watching this VAR in action over the summer I am no fan of it. The tv companies have forced this onto football wait until it starts proper in the premier league next season. Those over paid pundits are loving it what next robot ref give me Trevor Kettle àny day.
VAR: was right with offside against England last night. What I don't agree with once it's gone to VAR those reviewing appeal should make the decision not ref having to spend more time looking at what's already been looked at. Carry on like that there'll over 10 mins added on time.
My objection to it takes to long and once teams in the premier league work it out decisions will take forever. I agree with goaĺine technology instant decision. All it does is turn football into a circus. We wìll never see it a the NYS all we can afford is 2 smart phones at each end of the pitch.
I think the VAR which led to England being awarded a penalty was probably the most difficult decision made by a referee in such cir***stances. And lets remember without the benefit of a couple of minutes delay would never had led to a very common sense penalty being awarded.
There was absolutely no way the ref or the VAR team could see a trip on that footage and when VAR couldn't decide and passed it back to the referee wow was that a big call to make. I think in the end common sense decided it. Why on earth would White go to the floor like that with a simple tap in of a much needed equaliser.
So in this cir***stance the ref did amazingly well. I think she needs to revisit IFABs laws though as a YC is given for a 'reckless challenge', which doesn't take into consideration the opposition player safety and knowingly disregards such. I'm not sure any of those YC were that.
It might be mè but certaìn teams are goinģ to get the nod ìn some games. Waste of time VAR load Ai cŕap ŕobots killiñg the game watched women's final as soon as that decision was made by a machine off buťton.
