I think our anger needs directing at this guy, he clearly is not good at what he does and i bet unofficially PW and RS don't rate him, something smells around Douglas and it is time for us to dig into it
yes at an holistic level, but he is an executive in a business, it is not like being an admin clerk in an office. He is a leader and is suppose to lead and drive the organisation, this guy is a problem I can feel it.
Any executive that thinks in todays transfer world that £1.5m for vaulks is a good deal, is not right. Now hopefully there will be more to it, remember we walked away from one of our top targets for £50k, there is something not right at NYS and we are being fed crap
well, Im not sure about the strength of the personal inference but may I remind everyone of the time honoured merry-go-round when it comes to progress on the field....I swear it reminds me of every other RUFC era. This could easily be a forward by Moore, Bergara. Kerr, Hunter...
and of course more so the list of chairman...pursehouse, Johnson, booth...,
and of course the disgruntled fans:
ian
exeter
derbymiller
brad
gwru
the miller....and up to around 10k regular moaners and groaners and another 10k that will say Rotherham United! They never want to go up towlad-itll cost ta much. Always rippin punter off and tight as ****.
part 1/3 if anyone wants an uncomfortable reminder of the cognitive dissonance that absorbs our club.
Agreed ian, in 40+ years of supporting the club, RUFC have always had small time ambitions & doled out tons of sh y te to the fans expecting us to swallow it & strangely even after years & years of exactly the same BS people still believe them.
I honestly struggle to believe though that the club walked away from a clearly identified target over 50k, I think that "story" has been embellished to perpetuate the "tightwad" mentality at the club.
Let's face it folks, the summer so far, the lack of real activity, the hanging on for worldbeater Forde to sign a new contract should be good preparation for ultimate disappointment. If I was to be granted ONE pre-season wish however would be for us to sign a Goalkeeper as a number 1 priority as starting the season with Price as first choice would be too horrible to comprehend.
that article tells a story, they are perfectly happy with it, yet poor transfer windows cost us our championship status and the 33% increase in efl revenue
Just looked on the O/S club news. It was definitely on a few weeks ago Barker saying basically we aren't going to sell players for less than their value. That's no longer there, I wonder why. That will cap it all if we give Forde another contract. That's the 1st piece of news I wanted this summer Forde has found another club to show he's never been a winger. Pointless going on about Douglas. He didn't go when he lost us 3pts with not making sure the paperwork was in for Rawson to play. Tony Stewart wants him there. The chairman calls the shots. That's the way it works at Rotherham United FC.

This money will go the same way as the money you have been on about mostly on wages. Just got to see if we can dig a few nuggets out see if Mr Scott can get them over the line. With the Vaulks deal now looking like it is being concluded we can at last start to move on.
Meh...I've been saying for over 2yrs the club is potless no assets to speak of or even potential ones. Another uninspiring window and more and more people are going to be seeing past the misdirection that is NYS and will want real answers.
Wheels will come off and we will end up just like Donny, a chance to go next level develop sustainability gone by mismanagement.
Warney must be pulling his hair out (what's left of it)
The Miller when did Rotherham players get a huge wage increase?
How can it go on wages?
We have slashed the playing staff at the club at this point we are at least 11 players less than last year also we are a league lower, so new players will be on less wages and we will have relegation clauses in contracts...............unless Douglas has yet again screwed up
The maths simply do not add up
As for last year we had one of the lowest wage bills in the championship and we earned a lot of money via the efl TV deal a far greater increase in revenue than would have been eaten in a pay rise for the promoted players
Last season our wage budget was reported to be 6 million how much does the new training facilities cost to run agree Stubbs cost us some money I bet we are still paying for that. Remember our chairman has stated on many occasions under his stewardship we will not go into any debt. He admits his knowledge of football is very low but he knows how to run a buisness plus the FPL will come gunning for a club like us. Lets see what what our management team can do with this money hopefully that will come in in the next few weeks as I have said before just want to see us winning a few games UTM.
