Both Grant Ward and Tom Adeyemi are 'among Rotherham United's potential targets' according to the 'Tiser. Ward has had a ' cruciate knee ligament injury' while 'a variety of problems restricted Adeyemi, who didn't feature at all last term, to five appearances'.
Both players with different types of problems. Could they do a job for us? I'm not too sure.
I hope we look elsewhere. We could have two more "Proctor's" on our hands. They may be good human beings but we can ill afford to keep paying "sicknotes" as we did with Proctor & Potter last season.
It's seems so bizarre that we would be showing any interest in two young players who are clearly past their prime. I suppose the story helps fill the back page of the 'Tiser with column inches but it doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Far from it. Plus it's coming up to D-day for season ticket renewals.
I'm yet to see one player (me included), who can say they've come back playing with little or no impact on their physical and mental attributes after a serious knee injury....don't touch with a bargepole both of them (although I do suspect its journo twaddle as it goes right against Warneys ethos that football is a young athletes game).
