From their point of view, it was worth cheating. That is how they will look at it. It stinks of a cop out. They have been 'punished' but probably not enough to really make a difference. As Unifier says, scandalous.
Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during the discussions about the level of penalty. What deterrent did they possibly think they were setting with such a ludicrous sentence?!
We should be flattered that the panel visits this board, and you should be particularly flattered Glenn that they adopted something very close to your formula.
If the points deduction does not either drag the club out of a promotion race or plummet the club into a relegation battle then it is totally meaningless - especially this late in the season. A mid table club remains mid table.
In such a cir***stance it would have been better to have the deduction at the start of next season.
Regards to Bolton sure it said next week is the cut off point when any points loss will occur next season. Think I'd sooner take it now. For Birmingham it's a win win situation. They haven't gone into administration so that's why they didn't get the same penalty we did. We went into administration twice if I recall hence the minus 17 pts 1st season at DV.
