It appears that we have a minute's silence or applause before most games these days. But yesterday's period of silence was bizarre. No announcement, no ref's whistle, not even a full minute of silence. It might have been for Mrs Stewart, it might have been for those killed in NZ? The players and officials obviously knew what it was all about as they gathered around the centre circle. But unless I missed something, no-one in the crowd had a clue what was happening. All a bit embarrassing!
Totally agree Glenn. A bit amateurish on our part. Perfectly observed though by both sets of fans even if it wasn't clear what it was for, which was good.
