WE are still in the with a chance of stopping up my glass is half full. The match today was one of those we could of easily lost read report they reckon they should have scored in the last minute if we are going to stop up we need a bit of luck. See he picked Wood I know he is not the fastest player in our team but in some matches we need a battler like him. Interesting to see how Ikiwike played (can't say his name or spell it properly). Anyway I think it was a good point read Mr Vaulks piece in Tizer he said we are stopping up is this the start.

Not been.. Not interested in taking kids to Millwall. Listened to live comm and it sounded like a bit of a grim game with us getting a head of steam up in the second half but them missing a sitter with the last kick of the game. Got to be a good point on balance and thanks to the two dee dar teams for beating Ipswich and Bolton. With Reading only getting a point at home its a decent day all round.
Great away point if our luck had been then we could have won it. Their manager says wood should have walked ref didn't agree for a change.
Nice to see warne mix it up. Hope we play same v Wigan and fowls
Just seen Woods tackle on Millwall goalkeeper looked a lot worse when slowed down ref did not give anything.
How can they complain with the decision they got last week against Everton.
A tough and dour battle with two sides giving everything but just lacking that bit of quality we have spoken about so many times. Millwall had the best of it in the first half and we had the best of it in the second.
Two good chances fell to Smith but he seems to be more adept at hitting goalkeepers and players on the line than finding the net. Somebody on another post said bring back the two Balls(Dominic and David), just not sure they are as good as what we have got. David ball four goals in twenty four matches for a side in a division lower is hardly what we want. Dominic Ball played three minutes for Aberdeen since Boxing Day. Ihiekwe played a solid game yesterday and is steady. My one moan is our goalkeeper. No doubt he has had some great games for us but i feel we need him to command his six yard box more. Yesterday a couple of balls were sent in the six yard box and were dealt with by Robertson in a last ditch clearance. With margins so tight i would like to see him come and claim them.
A good point on a difficult away trip. Another point when we play the veteran Woods who as usual put his body on the line for the cause. He might be required to match up the physical presence of Clarke when Wigan roll up next Saturday. UTM.
Not signing a forward with a few goals in him is going to make it harder but not conceding goals is a start. Warney said he played 4 centre half's to combat their big players. That's ok but next week unless Williams & Newell are ready stick with 3-5-2. I'd have Ajayi in the back 3, Towell in midfield. I'd play Taylor up front with Smith, he was a goalscorer before he joined us.
Reason why I said bring the balls back was to give the players more competition for places and cover for injuries.
If.smith gets injured that leaves us with Yates and vassell and possibly Taylor as our strikers
Yes i was there Top Cat. I see what you are saying Hillsborough about cover. Yesterday there was no Williams,Palmer or Wiles on the bench so we appear to have some options in other areas. Newell was on the bench but didn't come on. If we decide to go two upfront it looks like he will go for either Yates or Vassell and i think gwru's is a fair shout about giving Taylor a go there. That would mean David ball would be well down the order. If Smith got injured that would mean a complete change of plan in my opinion. No get out with the long ball. Have we got the players who could pass it around and play it into feet and have the players who could give the movement to play that style? Two players who would benefit from that style would be Palmer and David ball in my opinion. Just do not see us doing it or possibly not able to do it. Williams and Newell would also benefit from a less direct style. My worry would be too many of those mentioned are lightweight and fade in games. I think Warnes plan B is what we saw yesterday. 3.5.2 and continue with the longer ball and pick up the pieces from long throws, corners and free kicks. Next four games are massive. UTM.
Hope Ihiekwe can do a job to keep to 3-5-2. Wood last resort for me. whiston01 watched racing yesterday. Apples Jade impressive, would love to see her in the Champion hdl. Irish Gold cup today but their best two hopes for our Gold cup not running so not that informative. But building up nicely for Cheltenham.
Essentially we are playing 5 at the back and PW has essentially shuffled the pack as I see it.
I don't see any attacking players except the forwards.
If vassell stays fit he will try him at times, but the overall strategy hasn't changed... We don't have the players in the middle or at wing back. On paper yesterday's point is quite a result. Just look at that team. It was awful really. The battling qualities are there to see
