Headstart for rest of the season

Pinched that word from a Paul Weller song. Unless Jones calls it a day send Vyner back along with Raggett to their parent clubs. Palmer & Forde can go. Ihiewke send him back out on loan. Keep Yates, we're struggling for strikers. RB CH left winger & striker required. You don't have to be Einstein to see that.

If all those players you don't like go on our wage budget who are we going to replace them with. My guess we need 20 million a year more coming in just to compete in this league. No Mr big money bags on the horizon an apathetic Rotherham public the people who are running RUFC are miracle workers. Hope Tony Stewart doesn't get bored of people moaning all the time If he does we will have something to complain about. You never know in football get a team like us start scrapping suddenly we get a few results and bingo UTM.

I think we need to sign a new benefactor to get your wish list gwru. We have a very thin squad as it is, so to get rid of what you are saying in January's window would leave us in trouble if we got any injuries.
It looks like we are in for Greg Docherty who is currently on loan from Rangers at Shrewsbury. He is not playing on the left for Shrewsbury, but on the right of a midfield four. He has created chances and scored goals for Shrewsbury. With the addition of Crooks it leaves us with plenty of options in the midfield if we sign Docherty. My guess is we will move on a couple of our current squad. Palmer to S****thorpe and one other. Hope its not Vaulks but i have a feeling he will be moving on now we have Crooks, and Wiles playing so well. I hope we move Taylor on .
We desperately need another striker. I do not think Yates will ever be good enough for the championship and will be loaned back to Carlisle if a striker is signed. Cannot see us signing a left sided forward or a right back. The finances will not stretch that far. Now whether we need them, is another matter gwru.

whiston01 Vyner & Raggett aren't our players. Loans if not up to this level send them back. Like look of Greg Doherty if it comes off.

... agree with your last point about a few results and scrapping - we are not far off - but as we're all saying we need a striker to take some of the chances we create and help Smith.

Maybe we can afford someone on loan to the end of the season who's not getting into a first team but has a goal scoring record... I don't have any ideas on who, but we need someone who can score... we just need to stay up, that's our only target.

Forget "we'd be better off as a decent team in league one" that makes no business sense whatsover... do what we need to stay up... we have the basis of a team that can compete - and more telly money comes in next season...

There is nothing wrong with the support the club is getting - our crowds are not bad, with a good percentage of those being season ticket holders, and we take 6,000+ to Man City and we are passionate... we just need the chairman to help Warney get a couple more in and not be put off as soon as someone offers 50p more than us...

If I had a choice of keeping Vyner or Raggett would be Vyner. He get's no cover. Forde can track back but doesn't take no pressure off going forward. Taylor is not a winger apart from the fact he can't track back. Williams best of the 3 going forward but is a loose cannon. Raggett as I've already said is too slow in thought & deed.

Raggart seems poor to me. He does seem way too slow and as above not really at the races tactically. Vyner likewise.

No. Matter who replaced wood it doesn't get better.

Warne might be guilty of not playing his best team because he is a fearful manager.

Goals needed. Striker to support Smith. Midfielder to support Vaulks. More pace at the centre.. That's my prescription.

I've always been in favour of small risks. TS might be better off taking one and whether we are up or down it's potential investment we won't get another chance at next season.

Got solution for CB staring us in the face. Get Dom Ball back, he can cover RB as well but ideally need an established RB up to this level. I don't think Vaulks will go this window. Can't see nobody offering what he's worth. Don't want cast-offs thrown in part exchange in the deal. Problem with Dochety unless he can play on the left still going to leave us with that problem whose going to play there. Need a striker with some size about him to cover for Smith.

Been reported in the media we are interested in Gregg Doherty from Rangers done well at Shrewsbury see what happens need at least 2 more players in. If Vaulks goes not concerned at all getting a bit bored listening to people going on about it I would sell him bring somebody else in in my opinion he is only a Division 1 player there's better out there. As for Dom Ball I would sooner have Bobby Ball out of Cannon & Ball leave him where is about as much use as a chocolate poker we want quality in no dross.

In Warney I trust. If there's something he doesn't like about a certain player I'll go with it. Warney hasn't done bad so far this season. Just need better cover at CB. I'd like a RB in good enough for this level but not holding my breath.

gwru you contradict yourself. You say you want Dom Ball back yet Warne doesn't want him, then you say in Warne you trust, do you struggle with things in the real world?

I'm only the messenger. Warney is the manager. He'll do it his way. Just think Dom Ball would be better than cover we have now if anything happens to Ajayi or Robertson, also he can play RB + he is our player.

If we could sign anyone for the weekend for me would be a left winger. Not got one to start a game. Newell is better bringing on especially in home games.

Why haven't you mentioned any of this before? And please do everyone a favour and Google "double negative". As in I can't get no satisfaction.

We'll sign no fewker before Thursday if at all this week. Ajose & Jorge Grant have both moved out on loan today, two players that would improve us but nothing...……………#tumbleweed

heard Warney on radio on about Crooks needs to train him up a bit I think he could be a decent signing for us we can't afford ready made players for this division anyone know what his fee was. No good going on about players who are out on loan need to get Jones and Potter fit going to need there experience if we are to stop up. We need a full squad not the threadbare one we have a the moment. We don't seem to playing like a relegation team but need a couple of more pieces to finish off the jigsaw puzzle WE CAN DO IT.

After training Last Thursday Jones declared himself fit. Warney went with Vyner who i think he sees as more athletic and a better option going forward. I think he will go with Jones very soon because Vyner is struggling in R.B position.
We now have five central midfielders for the three central midfield positions if we continue with a 4:5:1 formation. Six if you count Williams in the hole position. I think he will put Crooks on the bench Saturday and go with Vaulks,Wiles and Towell. Palmer does not figure in his thoughts at present so i expect him to go. The other option is to put Vaulks at right back and put Crooks straight in. Surely he has now abandoned the Ajayi in midfield after signing Crooks.
As for Potter, i agree with gwru his future is not with us. After signing Crooks, i just cannot see him figuring, unless we have chronic injury problems. Something he knows about only too well . Final word on Dom Ball. I think the writing has been on the wall for him for a long time.. He hasn't even got a squad number, so that tells you all you need to know.
