We have learned from our mistakes the last time we were in the championship (stayed there 3 years this time 1!!!!)

These are lies they are misleading the fans, now the hard of thinking will buy into all that crap and quote don valley, buckets etc etc
I do not like being lied to and treated like an idiot. If it isn't true do not say it, tell us the truth.
Our ambition is to be a league 1 - championship yo-yo team and we will never invest in the team to try and stay in the championship.......that is the truth
Only TS knows the real reason why in his 60’s he took on the mantle of owning a local football club. It wasn’t a club he had supported in his youth and because of that I think the reason was more from his head than his heart. I don’t see it as a purely charitable move but as a successful businessman it will have involved the notion of making a financial success of the venture. The side benefit for him would be to potentially achieve status and admiration far exceeding any other business owner in the town. Maybe that notion rocked his boat. Maybe it didn’t. For us the side benefit of his late in life challenge has been to see our club saved from extinction and experience an incredible roller coaster ride of promotions and relegations. For the former we are sincerely grateful to TS.
The reality though is in a town like Rotherham there will never be the revenue stream to be able to compete financially in the Championship. We would always be dependant on a sugar daddy to contribute the difference. But here is the rub. TS either does’t have the resources to stump up more or is taking the conscious decision to limit the contribution he makes. The reason for the latter may possibly be now he is in his 70’s he is giving some thought to how he passes on ownership.
Money speaks in football. It would be very sad if the man who got us so many times into this unsustainable position was vilified. But without money from some benevolent source it is not a case of if we are relegated but surely when.
As for some of the things TS says I have to agree he does talk daft at times.
I don't know where people think the tens of millions we need to even be financially close to competitive in this league will come from. FFP prevents TS from putting that money in even if he wanted to. Unless or until we sell a few players for massive money and/or increase our revenue two or three fold we have to try and compete against other championship teams with both hands tied behind our back. That being the case, some of the stuff TS has said about our ambitions has been a bit silly.
Bungee fitness is the more likely scenario. The activity involves being attached to a bungee and harness suspended from a ceiling. The participant bounces up and down and round and round a room without any sense of direction. I've deliberately not attached a link.
