It is crunch time now

The next 3 league games are critical to our survival, we have to stop thinking there is a long way to go because the maths and probability logic tell us these are the games we need to pick up points. For me the absolute minimum is 5 points, 7 is more likely to be needed 9 would be amazing, but the chances of us winning 3 in a row and one of them away from home are very slim. I think we need fresh faces in earl;y and a goal scorer as a priority, we also need to try to win the game from the outset and not do the keep it close for 70 mins and then use subs to try and win. I feel we can win both the home games and get a point at least at Ipswich. The cup game is irrelevant and we should drop our key players not risk yellow or red cards or injuries.

Be bold paul go out to attack and if we give it everything to win the game and we lose then so be it, have no regrets sitting back being timid.

I agree points to be had 3 games after the cup game. But don't agree changing our 4-5-1 formation. You have to respect all the sides in the championship. I've already said we need a battling left sided player who can link up with the loan forward. Rest read my post: January transfer window. I know people don't like me repeating myself.

3 wins! I wonder when the last time we won 3 championship games in a row was? If we did win the next 3 then Id say we would stay up.

Unfortunately, we have had easier games and only won 4 in 25 and none in...regardless.

Hopefully the moral has resurfaced after significant blows to the ego. I do worry about the optimism in the camp. I know I feel rather negative about our chances. I agree with the OP. Its crunch time. I doubt there will be enough to get out of the mire if we are in the bottom 3 at the end of January

Tony needs to crunch the transfer budget and create a new one if he wants us to survive the fact we spent nothing on transfers in summer beggars belief

Preston aren't a bad side but got to be one of our target wins at home. Were you can play players in there correct positions. We're going to have to play Ajayi in midfield though he his a centre back all day long. Taylor or Williams on the right. Newell on the left. Looking forward to seeing Wiles start. UTM

'It is crunch time now'

It's been crunch time for several weeks now. The Law of Averages dictates that we will win at least one game before this current football season draws to a close. Will we win another game? It's pure guesswork. What about another hard fought draw? Who knows? Currently our team don't appear to have the answers.

0-0, 1-1, 2-2 or 3-3 anyone? My guesstimate will be 2-2 or 3-3.

Its certainly a big game for us and one we need to win to get out of the bottom three. We are a bit thin on the ground with Towell and Jones suspended, Vassell and Proctor injured and Manning on his way back to London.
In the leagues we are winless against P.N.E since 2004 drawing five and losing four(we did beat em in playoff semi though). In this level (2nd tier of English league) P.N.E haven't won on years day since 1913 !!! . They also appear to be without senior players as well so i think its going to be tight. I still fancy that score draw like you Wotsisname.
