So if his happens and the wages aren’t paid then a point deduction is surely on the cards, coupled with Ipswich being adrift at the bottom of the table, would mean surely one left for the drop, we are not the worst in this league by a long shot

It must be attracting some investor attention but it wouldn't surprise me to see them go into administration as they have been high and dry for a few seasons. Rich potential pickings them for vultures. The Money Eddie Davies made and lost-and made and lost, at the club is just phenomenal. Its hard to work out whether he was good or bad for the club at times. Saying that I dont think anyone can deny his passion and support and he did give them one hell of a ride and achieved some great memories. Huge amount he eventually wrote off, upwards of 150 million or something wasnt it? And, he gave them another 5 million a couple of days before he sadly passed.
Ipswich do appear to be in trouble on the pitch but their chairman hasnt blinked off it yet, despite huge debt. They went into admin once before and I think it was the current chairman that eventually got them going again . There has to be something wrong on the football side because they are way below their pedigree.
So, it causes me to reflect, and thank Goodness we have had a stable and very successful 6 years financially. still, we have relied like all clubs upon the wealth and good ethics of a Good chairman. I see the next event at NYS is The ' personalised blood flow restriction course'. I do believe a more ironic title could not be found anywhere in history. I do hope you will all be attending to boost the coffers.

I think our friends in S6 are in a heap of financial trouble too. Chansiri had a huge punt in going up in the first couple of seasons, getting fans to pay up front for multi year season tickets and ploughing it into big transfer fees and obscene wages. Having missed the Premier League boat, they are saddled with players who aren't worth the fee any more and who won't move because they won't get the same wages elsewhere with Wednesday unable to buy them out. Reportedly some of them have an element of reward for appearances in their contracts and the club can't afford to have them on the pitch. The cashflow must be horrible, because half the weekly punters paid for the privilege years ago and the cash has already been burned. Add FFP restrictions that effectively prevent Chansiri propping them up again, and it isn't a pretty picture. Chansiri has already warned of 'dire consequences' if they go down. If I was a Wednesday fan I would be very concerned.
The beginning of sanctions certainly caught out dozens of clubs but then the admins stopped and clubs got more realistic and dare I say responsible. However, we are only a few years without a club falling into administration and thats generally because the bigger clubs manipulate huge amounts of cash transferring debt as they go.
so, its still incredible to think that Big clubs allow or wantonly take part in such huge gambles. what would have happened if BHA had missed out on promotion? QPR had a moment of Glory but, Im not sure in their case it was worth it.
Good point about Wednesday. It didnt seem to me like they had bought the right players even when they spent and I didn't fancy them for promotion at any point. And the chairman! well, he set his stall out early doors. It was pretty easy to see what kind of steward he would be of the club.
The Chelsea's, man utd, Arsenals and Man citys can run of air for ever but the rest of us need to be responsible and realistic. Another Nod to Tony and his stewardship, and a cautious glance at those who want the club to buy a million pound striker and push the wage structure too far.
Not sure it is that simple Worcester, but they can do what the hilariously but perhaps unfairly nicknamed Chris O'Greedy did to us and if they aren't paid for a certain period of time (I forget how long - can anyone help?) they can declare themselves free agents and move elsewhere as uncontracted free agents outside the transfer window.
Looked on the Bolton News website and its emerged Parkinson and his coaching staff still haven't been paid their bonuses for keeping the club up in the championship, the club are technically in Administration as the owner is technically paying the loudest debtor first.
The fans would like to take the hit now for admin (10 pts deduction) as they are saying that they are as good as down, rather than start Lg1 campaign with a minus 10 pts deduction.
Interesting time ahead for BWFC, and we have them to play on Boxing day!!!
Whilst I don't revel in when a club is in the brown stuff, particularly a club such as Bolton Wanderers with their long and proud history, I hope they are made to pay the price as Rotherham United were on more than one occasion. Its the way it is these days.
T.S has had his detractors and I have to say I have been one of them, particularly after what seemed to be a disappointing summer recruitment but I agree with Worcester, we're lucky to have him. Just hope we can stay up this season and build on a better than expected campaign that this has been so far. Play up the Millers.
The news about Doidge at Bolton is staggering. They signed him on an initial loan with a binding contract to buy in January. Doidge bought a house in Lancashire. Now Bolton can't complete the registration because of an embargo due to non-payment of wages and other debts and it turns out they haven't even been paying his wages during he loan period. He has gone back to Forest Green and unless something changes he is staying there, and FGR will have to sue Bolton for the wages they have been paying Doidge for 4 months that Bolton should have been paying. From our point of view, the bloke who scored their late equaliser at the NYS and caused a three point swing has been a Bolton player on the back of a contract that they breached and they have had his services for free for half a season. When you look at our 3 point deduction for registering Rawson's loan a few hours late, it all looks a bit sick. What the hell are the EFL doing about it? I hope someone at RUFC is in someone at the EFLs ear loud and clear.
Wouldn't mind Doidge here. Problem with us is we need another striker like we did with Derbyshire who can play on the left. In championship we can't play 4-4-2. Ryhs Healey heard mentioned 24 Cardiff City striker, couldn't uncle Colin do us a favour. He said he loved his time at Roth U. I'd still get Dom Ball back. He can play right & centre back + holding midfield. We haven't got a right back good enough. In midfield we don't have many options. Could see against Preston Raggett & Wood too slow for this level.
Even if we wanted him (personally I'm not too fussed) he can't play for us this season. He has already appeared for Bolton and FGR and you can only play for two clubs in any one season. I'm frustrated at the way Bolton are maintaining a their wage bill and having a stab at staying up on the tick and breaking commitments all over the place, apparently without sanction, when smaller clubs get hammered for minor technicalities.
If the Bolton mess was RUFC you can bet your bottom dollar we'd be looking at a 10 point deduction at best. There should be some degree of consistency over at EFL HQ
According to reports in East Anglia Bolton owe Norwich a six figure sum for unpaid contributions to the wages of two players loaned there. If true it stinks.
They are in a right old mess. Clearly, this chairman is not good for the football club. Its the fans of course who suffer. No one protects them or reimburses them.
It looks unsustainable to me. I think the plug is gonna be pulled, and one way or other they will go into administration and or be relegated.
They cant pay there creditors so surely they are trading insolvent (illegal btw) and they are only holding off the inevitable which is administration.
According to reports locally, They are waiting for the EFL January payment to come in before signing doidge et al, well that's like paying peter to pay paul, i see it a lot in my job, and these signs only indicate one thing, Adminstration.
Wanderers were handed a winding up petition by HMRC earlier this week, no date set for the hearing though, will keep an eye on it as it’s all about the timing.
Anderson may have been given time to find a buyer/or the money , hence no date set
