One Of The Strangest

Refereeing decisions I've ever seen at NYS - and there have been some howlers!

QPR forward lying flat out in our area but Ref allows Eze to continue his attack into our penalty area, whereupon he is tackled and goes to ground as if he'd been tasered. Rotherham pick the ball up and commence an encouraging breakaway. Ref calls a stop to proceedings to allow the QPR players to be attended to.

Why is it fine for QPR to continue an attack while one of their players is down and not fine for Rotherham to breakaway when 2 QPR players are down?

Mind-boggling and totally unfair!

The ref didn't want to risk a third QPR player falling down and adding to the mayhem inside the penalty box. The larger pile up would have then have to be treated as a roundabout and the ref didn't want to apply the rules of the Highway Code ie obstruction.
Mebbes the ref really intervened in order to put a stop to the developing farce. The pantomime season starts next month. The QPR players should have known better.

I can see why the Ref did it but I too am often regarded as bizarre.

I would also think that I may have regarded it as 2 passages of play and also that Rotherham didnt have an advantage when they got the ball back but QPR could play on at their discretion.

Maybe Exeter can shed some light on it?

But, the refs still a ****er.
