Over hyped or just the shot in the arm 'friendlies' needed?

Has it just created another competition where more friendlies are required to prep for it? - Who takes it seriously?

Definitely the latter. Sure it's a new competition but who knows how big it might become. I certainly prefer this format to the plethora of meaningless international friendlies. It gives games a competitive edge & may deter managers from doleing out caps willy nilly & actually playing their strongest line up to give the fans value for money.

If anyone watched Switzerland v Belgium last night that game vindicated the competition. Switzerland 5 Belgium 2 after Switzerland had gone 2-0 behind after 15 minutes and hardly having a kick in the first half. Belgium are the number one ranked team in the world. It was a cracker.

Not bothered about any other National side other than England. Think we are in better shape than in the world cup. Gomez & Chilwell have brought something to the side. I liked the look of Wilson the other night against the USA. He gets in positions to get chances. Keep him involved.

Like Nations cup. Proper matches.

It makes me think of the current political situation all over the world. Intent on driving us together by shared interests in the form of hugely decentralised oligarchs they provide entertainment where the wealthy control everything and the bleachers become folk history.

The paupers attend the games when there is room, or as feigned fealty.

Its just another stunt to squeeze "every dime" out of the rich leagues. We may idolise the Gladiators who are richly rewarded and the wealthy owners seem to be in power. But, its Rome itself that dictates the tastes of all the people and they have no money that can be counted at all.

Surely you're not referring to the EU Ian !? I voted to Leave and will do so again if we are bullied into another referendum.
