ANOTHER AWAY POINT!

You can't knock the fighting spirit of this group of players. Coming from behind against a team which scored 4 in midweek is another great away achievement. Bonus - Smith gets the goal he has so richly deserved over the last 3 games - should do him a world of good!

I see Bolton and Brentford dropping down into the relegation zone to make it a fight between 5-6 sides for survival. On present form, we stand a great chance of avoiding the drop.

Iheikwe MOM for Accrington today and scored their only goal. He has the ability to come back to Rotherham and give us some great options at the back. His meltdown at the end of last season is something that he and the fans should put behind and we should encourage his development because he is a talented lad.

Well done Warnie and the boys - Onwards and Upwards.

Not been so no idea how we played but any away pt is welcome. Championship is the worse I've known it since it became the haves & the have nots. Why did you have to spoil it mentioning Ihiewke. Leave him were he his. No future with us.

A good point today, a win would have been nice, but lets not forget Preston are in the same position as us desperately needing points themselves, they're also on a bit of a run at the moment, so were never going to be a push over. All we asked for at the start of the season was a squad of players who would graft and work for each other, thats what we've got. You can only applaud the effort. I hope smith's goal has got the monkey off his back. We're not getting the wins, but we seem to be getting harder to beat.

I went... not so good in first half - but never out of the game and a great shot from Smith hit the post before they scored, it looked like another unlucky day for him. Second half much better, Smith finally got his reward and we could have nicked it at the end.

A deserved point, we just need a bit of luck to pick up a few wins instead of draws.

Unlike last time in the Championship, we look as good as most teams, ceratinly not out of place... a bit more quality and a lot more luck and we'll be ok.

Ref again was terrible and gave them their only chances of the second half with shocking decisions.

UTM.. gunna enjoy tonight now :)

Another good point the last time we were in this league we had a lot of games we always started slowly and were a couple of goals down before we new it. There looks like there is more organisation in the team the only thing we need is a few more goals.
The league this year doesn't seem as strong a lot of players have got good agents or we are a bit better than we give our team credit for at least we go to games thinking we've got a chance today.
Well done Warney UTM.

I get the sense that we are growing onto the league and growing in confidence. Commitment is never an issue with this group. Oddly we've been slipping down the league despite the improved performances but the signs are all good.

Like Proctor up front with Smith. Williams on the Right Manning on the left. Vaulks Towell central. Still have 3 midfield players, Manning is not a winger but a natural left sided player. Get to January in no worse a position than we are now then see who out of the loan players are staying. Then go for that goalscorer. Kieffer Moore?

Warne appears to be favouring Taylor on the right, Vaulks and Towell in the more holding role, Wiiliams more central and forward and vassell out wider on the left. I believe Vassell gives us more of a physical presence on the wide left than either Newell or Manning can. . The other option in midfield is to set up like we did against 'Boro' but i feel Williams is more comfortable in a central role rather than wide right at the moment.
The other decision is does he bring Jones back in. For me there is very little between them, and Vyner looks to be a better threat going forward when he gets the chance. He had no chance to do that yesterday as Robinson was the best man on the pitch, and he struggled a bit to keep hold of him. Robinson will go for big money.
Against Swansea i would go for the same team that started against P.N.E. and see how it goes for an hour before doing any major changes like going for a 4:4:2. set up. He can always bring Newell,Proctor or Manning off the bench and also lets not forget Wiles who has let nobody down.

we are certainly in the thick of it and performing well. No getting humiliated this season.

The balance seems very good over the last several games. Not sure about one or two but strengthening may not be possible.

Great to see Smith score. He does such a lot for the team in that role.

Its a relatively young side and once again I must mention that Warne has done what he said he would and its working well.

Someone said the championship is poor. I think its as good overall as it has been since we started flirting with it. We perhaps get more comfortable as spectators and hopefully better judges on our strengths and weaknesses. Anyway, we are looking at that 4th from bottom still.

The away performances and points should strengthen the team, make us even better at home. The evolutionary challenge-dont lose from your gains; Stay favourites at home while picking up the odd win and draw away.

I think Smiler has nailed it. We are both as a team and as individuals, growing into this league. 3 examples are Williams, Ajayi and Smith.

At the beginning of the season I thought Smith would not cut it but these last few games he has held his own and led the line very well.

I bet the Bury fans are eating a lot of humble pie now, Smudger is for me one of the unsung heroes of this team.

His hold up play and down right in your face with the defence is what's helping the rest of the team out, he gets back to defend when need be, and then motors up the pitch!!

We need Proctor fit, and can we stop the bandwagon that is " get Kieffer back" get over it - he isn't coming back.

He had the chance, and made the move, money talks, and we haven't any!!!

Just watched extended highlights. Goal they had disallowed for offside in the 1st half. If it had been us I'd have said didn't look offside. Smith not a defender but poor marking for there goal but can't fault him he looked our only goal threat. Point won I would say.

Interesting on here we say we cannot strengthen the squad and we have no money. I do not see how either of those statements can be true. I think we have money but we have chosen to use it to pay back money that the owners and board have spent in previous years rather than on the team. I believe the board expected us to get relegated and decided not to spend anything in an attempt to stay up. Any team can be strengthened we clearly need a forward that can play off smudge and score goals and we lack cover at left back and other areas. What we are doing is giving the fans hope I feel we have a right to expect the board to back warne and try and stay up the prize of staying up is huge

I want us in the championship next season. As I've said hope we are at least were we are now: league position then strengthen. Goalscorer priority. Left back we're ok got Hinds coming through. Right back weak position. Send Vyner back got to be better around. See who we keep. Raggett Manning I'd extend their loans. All players out on loan apart from Hinds leave them loaned out. Forde Bray can go. Might give us the funds to get another wide player in. We've got Wiles coming through. I'm happy how Warney is managing the club. Wish Rotherham public would back the club. Worth it if you like players giving there all, not without ability either.

I don't know where this magic money tree is that's going to give the millions of pounds to compete at this level all there's only our chairman who as already put 34 million going north if he has to balance the books so be it any complaints bring back millers 05. I was there on a cold Tuesday night chucking money into buckets sat in a freezing cold stand built with infant school seats.
Apart from us loyal fans the Rotherham public nowhere to be seen Wembly doesn't count they get nearly all of that money prices have been the same for 6 years what do they want.
I know we get sky money in this division and some corporate earnings don't know anything about that but I bet our budget has already been spent that's why Ball went to Bradford so we could sign Towell.
Unless there's a white knight coming over the hill with 200 million in his back pocket we will just have to manage there's only been one bad season since we moved to the NYS.

We do not need 200 million to stay up, where do you get this rubbish from. Why do we live in the past about buckets etc I was there too. It is not about bankrupting the club it is about investing in a team that are giving everything and backing a manager that has given us a chance of survival. If you really believe that the board have done everything to back warne they can then more fool you, because I do not and TS makes it worse by talking about the premier league.

I can't see the point in not investing in building a side capable of sustaining a place in the Championship. If the Chairman is trying to balance the books, well thats right and proper, but there always has to be investment in any business or you're sunk.

In our case the 'money tree' is the Championship which is not as big as the Prem money tree, but is significantly more than L1. If the board is serious about the whole shooting match, they are not going to allow us to drop back down to L1 when the windfall from the Championship is going to be significantly greater next year.

I don't know how much TS put into the club, or how much was from his own pocket, as is often stated, or from business loans, or development grants. Neither do I know how much the club spends or how much we earn. The point for me is ,we are where we are, and whilst in football you can never rule out relegation, I don't believe, as some suggest, that the board are milking the Championship money to somehow get their money back. Loans have to be honoured and I'm sure some of it does go in that direction, but to think that they are willing to jeopardise our Championship place and the income that generates for 'aporth of tar, would be in my opinion an idiotic and reckless business approach and some might say criminal to boot. We need to hang on in there and see what January brings.
