If there was nobody else to watch do you think it would be the end of football? I do. Got to the most num boring footballing side I can remember in living memory.

I'm afraid I've had the same opinion since Eriksson was appointed. Dull!

However, we have been mostly dull and ineffective throughout history. I'm not sure there has ever been an English era where any neutral would associate England with exciting or even pleasing to watch football.

I even have to cast doubt on the dearly held idea that England would be a great team to watch if only we played "the English way".

Know England just fall short compared to the top international sides but they have there moments. Croatia I was on about. So negative. Must have been a bad world cup for them to get to the final.

Better last night. Spain are in a lull but you take it while you can. More positive not having Dier & Henderson together in midfield. Chilwell a lot better than having Ashley Young at left back. Memo to Warney if they are good enough they are old enough.

It was a bit of a freakish game really. We could just have easily have lost it heavily. We took our chances and Spain scored two but could have had six on another day. But make no mistake Spain are quality and to beat them in Spain is no mean feat.

Been on the OS. Robertson played for the reserves today. Won Wiles scored. Sad news Charlie Crickmore has passed away. Remember him, Tommy Doc' signed him in 1967.

ps meant to post this on Bolton game thread. Apologies

England took their chances very well and Spain defended very arrogantly in the first half.

I want to see England control a game against top opposition one day.
