Inspired by Brad's post on Arni I wondered what posters think their best or favourite Millers eleven is. A bit of fun to pass time while there is no game to think about! Of course it will be dictated by age (I go back to mid seventies memory wise). My own choice would be: Mimms: Forrest, Arnason, McIntosh, Breckin: Towner, Frecklington, Seasman, Crawford: Moore, Le Fondre. Subs: Mercer, Stancliffe, Seasman, Raggy, Goater, Finney
Seasman was so versatile that I've got him in the team and on the bench! My dad has been watching them since the fifties and he says Ken Houghton would be first pick in his best eleven. Do any of the more experienced posters rate him?
It's hard to pick your all time fav' millers 11. There'll be players I've forgot about. Houghton Butler Bennett were just before my time. Met Albert Bennett David Carver about 5 years ago. They were with Brecks in the 3 horse shoes Wickersley. Both Albert & David were down to earth. Really nice to chat to. Barry Lyons was my star player when I started watching us. Got a goal in him apart from being a fine right winger. Not much to choose between him & Towner.
