I think he will pick the same team that we had against Millwall, assuming that Mattock is fit.

If Mattock is out Robertson will play at left back.

I like the look of Robertson. I think he is a good defender and quite mobile and decent on the ball too. Personally I think him and Raggett should be and will become our first choice centre half pairing, with Ajayi in front of them in the midfield.

Wood did well against Millwall but few teams are as direct as they were, and it is no secret that although he has his qualities he isn't the most mobile. Ajayi looks so much better in midfield all of a sudden, and Raggett and Wood together look very short on pace.

Ajayi is a centre back. Here's hoping we sign Yates & get shut of Vyner.

Rodak; new RB. Ajayi Robertson Mattock or Hinds; Williams Vaulks Yates hopefully Manning Vassell; Smith

Still awaiting the potential loans....time getting tight for Saturday but midfielders would be handy - especially to cover injury / cards....for rest of season....Izzy to Leeds - he'll enjoy that - looking forward to seeing his development - good lad.

Bit harsh leaving Raggett out T71 after his very good performance against Millwall and also moving Ajayi out of defensive midfield after his MOM performance. I presume you are playing Yates if we get him as a defensive midfielder. As i said on an earlier post if we could get another defensive type midfielder in i would play a 4:2:3;1 formation. If we dont get one in i think he will play the same team that started against Millwall.
We need to go to Wigan and be very difficult to play against, frustrate them and hope to pick something up from free kicks and corners. Not pretty, its the way of life for us in the Championship against the better teams. I dont count Wigan in the top ten but there not in the bottom six either.
My preferred side would be :
Rodak
Vyner, Raggett,Robertson,Mattock.
Ajayi, Yates.
Williams, Vaulks, Manning.
Smith.
I believe it will be. Rodak, vyner, Raggett, Woods, Mattock, Ajayi, Williams, Vaulks Manning, Vassell. Smith.

If Towell or Yates, or both come in tomorrow, I can't see PW starting either at Wigan. He'll need to indoctrinate Yates to the Rotherham way and he'll need to be confident that Towell is match fit before he starts them. Be interesting to see if Mattock's dead leg has recovered in time.

If Towell is allowed to play tomorrow, and assuming he's match-fit, I'd go with the following team;

                       Rodak

Vyner/Vaulks Raggett Wood/Robertson Mattock

                        Ajayi

Williams     Towell       Manning     Vassell

                         Smith

However, suspect Warne will be conservative and play Vaulks in midfield and leave Towell on the bench. Whatever, our midfield now looks reasonable and considering that some of our most creative moves last year involved Palmer and Towell playing together, there's good options for PW to play with.

Not leaving one of better players Vaulks out for Loan players. If Towell can play Warney won't be changing much from the Millwall game.

Rodak

Vyner Ajayi Wood Mattock or Robertson

Williams Towell Vaulks Manning Vassell

Smith

I think Towell was signed too late so cannot play tomorrow.
Interesting take on Palmer because in the biggest game of the season at wembley he was on the bench. It was probably because he picked the side he felt could beat Shrewsbury and he was proven right.
I think if everybody is fit then it will be the same team that started against Millwall. I totally agree Glenn that we now have some good options in the middle, ideally i would have liked us to have signed a tough tackling midfield player with a bit of experience but i am sure Warney and co have done everything they can. With Manning and Towell added it gives us a chance of staying up. The bookies still have us as favourites for the drop but if we can keep key players fit we might just prove them wrong.

Really surprised Warneys moved Williams to the left and brought Taylor in on the right.Williams has had his best games on the right and Taylor for me offers very little. Go and prove me wrong Jon. Towell is on the subs bench so The Star got it wrong when they said he was signed too late to figure.

We got it right last Sunday so why change it? Taylor has never been a winger, hasn't got a tackle in him. Williams said this before, on the left may as well be sat with me. Didn't we learn anything from the Hull game? We've got to take points off sides like Hull & Wigan.

Had commentary on radio de dah. They had the 1st half, sounded like once Vassell came on we were the side most likely. Rodak? but haven't seen there goal. But keepers aren't perfect, things don't always stick. Idea is for us to get enough goals to make up for the odd mistake. We haven't got the idea of that yet! well not in the championship.
