Perfect motivation for league matches before Everton as everyone will want to play that one - that's the best thing to come from that draw.

Leeds comes before Everton, not alphabetically, but is a more important encounter. Next Saturday is gonna test us both physically and mentally.

What's the difference between Everton & a cup of tea? The tea stays in the cup longer!

Why do Everton fans drink out of a saucer? Cause all the cups are in Manchester!

Slim chance? It's not over till the fat lady sings

One off with instant penalties - best ever for the underdog. The "fat lady" lives down our street and I heard her gargling yesterday - We live in Hope !

I have a penchant with all underdogs and stick up for folk who can't answer back.

Don't forget we're visiting Stubbs' spiritual home, so we may not have heard the last of him yet! wink

He's too busy signing Southampton U23's captain and Manchester United midfielders for St Mirren pub league.

Remember last time, we got in late as filled the seating so about 50 of us got in that horrendous terracing that went below the pitch level. Did we draw at home?, as I remember Lenny, going through and missing a really good chance, then of course came Cottee's cheating dive, legend Billy Mercer getting sent off in front of his own family then it all went pear. Nearly 30 years ago! - cringing.

Anyone on here going ???

Despite the reward of carrying on in the cup, and assuming Everton will play their most junior side possible, I'd still us rather play our 'reserve' team to give some playing time to those not in the starting line-up in league games, and take whatever result comes on the chin....

At Wigan - we could get something, and I'd rather have a precious point in that game than a win at Goodison, given a choice.

I will be there. I think it will be largely a team full of people who didn't start on Sunday and won't start on Saturday. I know that in advance and will have no complaints about it. I don't expect to see many of Everton's best starting eleven either. A win would be a bonus.

I'll be there also. It's a rare occasion when we get to play a Premiership outfit - it's even more rare for us to appear in the second round of a cup competition - so for me it's a fun day out with no expectations. Also a chance to go early and have a look around the city of Liverpool which I've never visited before (apart from Anfield).

I've been to Liverpool for work reasons a few times lately Glenn and for a long weekend socially. I can't pretend to know it well but I love it. I perhaps wouldn't do much sightseeing near the ground though - with all respect to the local residents it isn't the prettiest part of town.

VAR tonight.....so the previous visits of appalling referee's decisions will at least be tested....then instant penalties - by far the best chance of beating Everton in our history because "big team" refereeing has affected us before.....let the "family team" beat "the family club".

Going for it. 4-4-2. If we're going to get knocked out go down taking game to them.

2 six yard box goals - that area are the games killing fields we are just transparent in that area. Second goal a free header and no one near....what happened to touch tight marking ?

Vaulks then within minutes Everton score again - me-thinks they were only in second gear and just doing enough - very professional !
