Flexible lad according to the write up - ok not good enough for QPR but he has a point to prove so well motivated ! Fit as....so box to box....like it.
'' The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, who is predominantly a central midfielder, can play anywhere across midfield or left-back or even in a more forward position", according to the report.
Jolly good signing.
Exactly in line with policy and philosophy.
Let's hope his experience and desire to improve spark for the millers as we try to fashion a side capable of going against the odds.
Excellent. I wonder if it's a loan with a view to buy? Whatever, it addresses our immediate problem and if he is any good, I can see Newell being reduced to a bit part player - this may be the competition and incentive he needs to up his game.
Anyway, welcome to NYS Ryan - there's a job to be done!!
Still need a central midfielder then. But good luck here Ryan. Straight in would say. We aren't that strong on the right wing but that's for the next transfer window.

My worry is age v technical ability. The reason Premiership kids are acceptable for loans at this level is that "kids" from Premiership clubs tend to be technically top notch and so get away with lack of experience. That allowance diminishes the lower the loanees parent club are from....we should have kids like this in our system - so really it's like giving one of our kids a run....it'll be good experience for the lad but hardly the reinforcements we need as this league ( in midfield ) is tough both physically and mentally. But another pair of legs....
Were Izzie, Swifty any good for us. I can't remember much coming from them. Grant Ward was better. I'm happy enough with Ryan Manning. He says he's a central midfield player, left footed. Would like Warney's jigsaw completed before the Hull game, must be targeting the two home games coming up.
I don't think this young man is comparable to Izzy Brown or John Swift. They were both untried 18 year olds who had never played at Championship level. I think Brown had played a handful of games in Holland. Manning is 22 so young but not a kid. He has played quite a bit of football in the League of Ireland which may not be anywhere near The Championship in terms of quality but it is grown up mans football, and he has played 30 plus times for QPR in this league. A quick look at the QPR message boards suggests a lot of their supporters are surprised to see him go and they thought he would be a first team regular this season. I don't remember seeing him play at all, but on the face of it it and looking at other peoples comments it looks like he can add some needed athleticism and energy in the midfield, and on that basis it looks a good signing to me.
Ryan Manning is a utility player. I'm sure the flexibility of his muscles and movement are also in good order. Is he good enough to start on Saturday? He could be anything. Let's hope it's all good.
COYR!

Wasn't comparing Ryan Manning to Izzie who flattered to deceive & Swifty who wasn't ready or didn't want to play for us. Manning is older & hope more streetwise.
Warnsey on radio deedah regarding new lad...suggested "anything happening to the midfield 3"....sounds very light and dangerous .
Swift technical but lightweight Izzy just brilliant start to finish - and even better beat Wednesday In play-offs - his assist at Hillsborough if memory serves.
Had contact with his uncle in Peterborough who said he really enjoyed his time here. Physically and technically - the world is his lobster. But at that level - the world is now his competition - uk wise brilliant - which shows the damage foreign players are doing to our game.
7:00 cup...Rotherham 21 ?
