The peasants Rotherham revolting - a bit ! BUT don't you think with all that's gone on before the club are fanning the flames? OK - we haven't spent anything YET and who knows what loans are lined up ready to blow our mind. But Saturday was beyond a joke - it was clever - it was THE most obviously stupid any manager has ever done. And I mean ANY manager! Particularly that TS / PW has had the perfect closed season - NO Niel Warnock procrastination - a full staff of player finders - NO radio deedah telling South Yorkshire clubs that we have a player in the area COME AND STEAL HIM. NO! ALL PROBLEMS are self inflicted. You can understand the fans are scratching their heads. "We are better prepared" - for me the Millers must have a massive magicians hat just waiting for Tony to pull someone out ! Wishful thinking ?
We get thrashed on the opening day and tonys championship budget is a league 2 midfielder.
Warne you and barker might as well walk the plank now.
Yes tony has done well for the club but come on this is taking the michael now transfer window closes thursday and we are reduced to loans. Which if the player is any good will be recalled leaving us in the mire again in january
So much for the long term plans they made back in march may june. We have our targets and made bids which were probably so low they wasnt even considered.
My worry - well a basic worry is "strength in depth". We're not structured to have a first 18 and understudy's fit and pushing the first 11 shirt holders. TS said he built a Ferrari at the NYS - and he has - but strangely he's put a go-kart driver in the hot seat and it's starting to show - bit too much horsepower for the lad - the championship is a big ask for a rookie who will never be sacked - what's Warne's motivation. His team selection and motivational player presentations smacked of a cosy teachers "In-set" training day. I don't see or feel the passion and / or urgency required in this league. PW is just too comfortable ! Don't want him to get the sack but not having the threat is - as I say - too comfortable.
Brentford are a very good side, with far more resources than The Millers. They will be seeking to finish as high as they can in the top ten, we will be trying to finish as high as we can in the bottom ten.
There are two teams in a game of football. Brentford are not a team that we will be competing with.
i have no issues with fans who go or dont go to away matches. due to balancing a happy home life, work and other commitments i will only go to the home matches the odd one away like bolton on boxing day and the lane
yep totally agree. about brentford. But in regards our team i always expected us to be in the bottom half as I am realist i just wished otherwise thats all
There will be a vast increase in television payments to Championship clubs next season. Surely Tony Stewart will not want to lose that revenue and be prepared to release funds to improve the quality of our squad. He's got to take the risk Warne's judgment (and not the Head of Recruitment) is topnotch.
The clock is ticking but will today turn out to be a damp squib? Transfer window closes at 5.00 pm. We might sign a player or two who turn out to be the icing on the cake? Then again we could be asking too much of our club. I'm just waiting for Saturday to arrive. Let's bounce back with a win. Or is that asking too much?

here hoping for a last minute marquee signing and at least we will find out by early evening and not having to wake up next morning to find out
As fans all we ask for is the club to give it the best chance they have got, the players to play for the badge and club and the manger to prepare them mentally, physically and tactically.
that not to much is it

" here I stand looking all around me, while all around me what do I see? " Only got while 5pm tonight. I'd like a signing in that excites the New York faithful. Duane Holmes or Grant Ward on the right. Doidge or Marquis up front. Definitely need a holding midfielder Crooks or Yates.
Im not holding my breathe if k jackson has gone for a million to ipswich. Then we are nowwhere near that tony wont spend that for a keague 2 player who did nothing fir barnsley when they was last in championship
'' All Our Yesterdays'' presented by Brian Inglis. Ah, those were the days, my friend. I thought they'd never end.
Hang on a minute, I thought that we weren't going to get all historical on MB any more? We're here, in the now, in the present day. Money helps but it doesn't buy success. The latter is achieved by hard work.
Therefore, bring it on, you combined harvester thresher boys from Suffolk!
Who needs other clubs' cast offs anyway? We are the Mighty Millers!

Can't believe if we don't get a couple of actual signings in under contract to Rotherham United FC. Your only allowed 5 loan players in the match day squad, well you were. Duane Holmes going to Derby. Derby like Ipswich have sold a player for a big fee so have money to reinvest. Got just over one hour, work situation out then.
"Money helps but it doesn't buy success"
Not with Villa but Yes with Wolves...although Villa were very close but no cigar....Premiership & championship more or less cash input league with a few anomalies.
