As long as Vymer is fit (which I suspect he wasn't fully against Cardiff) I'd go with your line up Hillsborough apart from having Jones instead of Taylor.

However, I suspect there will be much more activity in the transfer market before we reach the Brentford game.

we need a right winger for putting in the crosses as we have the left covered with newell and wiliams

I'd have Wiles on before Forde or Taylor.

Side for Brentford. Sure we'll go 4-5-1 Rodak; Vyner Ajayi Robertson Mattock; Williams Wiles Vaulks Palmer Newell; Smith

At least one more midfielder on the way to the NYS before the big kick off? Towell and/or A N Other? Until then it'll be perm any 11 from the current available number of players. Then there is the bench to consider. Decisions, decisions.

I can't post on MM but read it cause it's that quiet on here. They talk some right bunkem on there. They are picking Taylor or Forde on the Right wing. Williams on the Left. That never worked even in league one. Not mentioning Newell. Wood at Centre back when Robertson looks our best signing this new season. Somebody said Vyner did better when he came on yesterday. Hope so we need him at Right back.

We'll probably flip between a 4-4-2 and 3-5-1-1 depending on the strength or otherwise of the opposition. Taylor may play in the hole just behind Smith. Would Smith and Proctor work well together late on in the game? Mebbes last twenty minutes?

Not trying to be clever or anything but do you actually go to watch the side? Taylor? Proctor won't even be on the bench. Smith will start unless we get better in. 4-5-1 got to be. I'm looking at Rodak Vyner Ajayi Robertson Mattock Docherty Vaulks Wiles Palmer Newell ?

Do I actually watch the side? Which one? The starting eleven for the opening game in the championship has still to be announced. I might have more idea after watching several first team games.

Taylor has bags of energy. He will be the ideal runner to pick up the knock downs from a much taller striker. That's just for starters.

Proctor won't be on the bench? Mebbes you are correct. But then again...

If you wish to submit your suggestion/s for a possible game plan, please knock yourself out and share it with everyone.

I can only go what I see. Went to the Cardiff game. Taylor can't see him starting. Unless they are injured certain starters based on how we finished last season & how new players looked + they made an impact that game. Rodak Robertson Mattock Vaulks Palmer Newell Smith. Sure we'll play 4-5-1

I'm trying to keep up with you here T71. Have I missed something - who's Docherty? And if things aren't going to be difficult enough, why are you only starting with 10 players - assume you meant to add Smith to your starting XI?

I agree your back 5. I don't think Warne will risk Wiles in the starting line up - the midfield has to include Palmer and Vaulks, Newell on the left and possibly Jones or Williams on the right (I thought Williams was really impressive against Cardiff) - however, if Towell becomes available this week, he'll be a shoe-in.

If we play two up front, it has to be Smith and Vassell for me. I don't see Taylor featuring heavily - a late bench replacement if anything.

However, there's still chance for more players to come in who might be contenders for the starting XI.

The question then is whether we play 442 or 451. One of our strengths last season was that we were able to switch from game to game or even within games. The best example being that we played 451 against S****horpe in the playoff semis then 442 at Wembley. At the moment we don't have three central midfielders (unless Jones plays there - I don't think Wiles will be picked yet). As Glenn says, much will turn on who we bring in over the next few days. At the moment I think the only automatic choices are Rodak, Mattock, Palmer, Vaulks and Smith.

Agree will be 4-5-1 but only if we go 2 up front will only be Vassell who'd get on. Just said manager want's someone in the engine room to play at the side of Vaulks & Palmer. Warney also says could be 3 moving on. I'd be offering Forde Da Ball in part exchange for Duane Holmes to play on the Right. I don't know if Towell is needed. We have Wiles coming through to compete with Vaulks & Palmer. We need a holding midfield player. Striker needed. As I've said Doidge or Marquis would be in our price range.

How I'm seeing starting side for Brentford. Rodak; Vyner Ajayi Robertson Mattock; ? Vaulks ? Palmer Newell; Smith
