Anybody going tonight?

I am. Never miss a 1st team game at the New York stadium. Sounds like ticket sales are down. Think they shot themselves in the foot not opening all parts of the ground apart from the South stand. I've got season ticket in the West stand. I'm in the East stand tonight, seating it's the same but it's not as high. Last season in the checkatrade in there sun was directly in your eyes for the 1st half of one of the games. Like to see new players we've got in. Hope as said on here Rodak he's playing.

nope as i still stand by what i said last year the club should reward loyalty with things such as a free admission to a friendly game to season ticket holders

I am going although I understand the point being made about charging for this sort of friendly. If it was free admission they would get a much bigger crowd to play in front of and how many casual supporters might they attract who might be tempted to come back for proper games? As it is they might make £10,000 on the gate tonight. Not a lot of money in the scheme of things.

I understand Sheffield FC and Stocksbridge charging a few quid - for them it is a payday - but do we really need to?

I wonder sometimes whether or not these things are really thought through.

Also correct about the sun. It will be a real factor.

Don't agree to free admission to friendly games for ST holders & I'm a ST holder. It's a professional game. Doesn't run on fresh air.

Been tonight. Palmer best I've seen him play. I'm not trying to be cruel but Taylor Forde Da Ball can't see them as championship players. I'd would have liked to see Wiles played on the Right seen what he could do. Weren't fussed by either of the Right backs but Vyner was no were near fit. Robertson & Vassell showed up well. Hard to judge till the 1st choice side are on the field together.

A VERY HAPPY BUNNY ... This time last week we had few options - this week we have done the business - we have a fighting chance! Would like abother striker of some renown and a couple of midfielders....you know just for injuries and stuff...lol A good night !

The sun wasn't a factor.

It was a very enjoyable game and a good workout.

Just read the following re tonight's game:

Palmer’s bullet header then caught the Bluebirds on the hop and levelled the scores after Cardiff left the midfielder unmarked and with a simple task to convert Jon Taylor’s cross.'

I'd be more than happy if Taylor was able to perform like that in the Championship. Likewise  for Palmer.

Really enjoyed tonight. It's difficult to establish anything meaningful in these friendlies but, sticking my neck out, I'd say that we have real promise in Ajayi and Robertson as CBs. Thank goodness Rodak arrived after Price's blunder. Jones looked sound and Smith + Vassell up front will give any defence a challenge. Both Williams and Palmer accomplished in midfield. I have to echo T71's concerns though - Taylor well out of his depth as expected and the jury's out on Ball and Forde. All in all though, more reasons to be cheerful than despondent!

Price. Can't work out why we brought him back. If anything happens to Rodak time to give Bilboe the call. Time to push the younger players through were we are not strong. Hinds for Purrington. Wiles for either Forde or Taylor. Encouraging last night.

Very enjoyable night apart from the mess on the seats where I sat! No need for them to be cleaned from any dust or cob webs now, I think my shorts and shirt polished them up enough! Misses was dead happy (NOT!!)
