In a right mess if reports are to be believed. Players not even getting a game on upwards of 40k a week. While at Stoke they've recently bid £12 million for Afobe from Wolves.

How we are meant to attract players when those figures are being tossed about for players not even getting a regular game. Paul Warne will be in line for manager of the season if he can keep us up.

I totally agree C. Villa have got an abundance of players who cost several million pounds apiece and are on tens of thousands a week, and they couldn't get out of the division. Wednesday are another prime example. There is a long list of Championship clubs who absolutely dwarf us in terms of resources.

Hard work, good organisation and team spirit go a long way but over 46 games quality is likely to count.

What you sometimes see is a team or two imploding like Sunderland did last season despite all of their resources, and like Blackpool and Bolton did the last time we were up there, which is a shame for them but helpful for the likes of us.

I am all for us giving it our best shot within our means, but anybody who goes into next season thinking in terms of being (to coin a phrase) mid table looking up needs to get real. It is possible we can stay up, but fourth from bottom looking nervously over our shoulders would be a fantastic achievement.

To start with we've got to by one way or another move players on not good enough or injuries + past there championship playing days. Ihiewke Potter Forde Yates to start with. Need squad replenishing with players good enough now, not was for the championship.

Watched quite abit of the championship on sky last season, didn't appear to be as daunting as season before. Looking at the sides for next season we can get something from if we get the signings right. First batch of clubs there's question marks against there managers. Ipswich Hull Nott F Reading QPR Blackburn Sheff W Leeds Derby fall into that category. Then for various reasons including last years form & can they be as good this season + 1st season back in this league going for Bolton Birmingham Preston Millwall Sheff U Bristol C Norwich Wigan as sides we can get something against. Rest of the sides we can sneak some points off them especially at home.

As someone has questioned me yes if we do it right in the close season my cup is half full for next season.

Under no illusion that 4th bottom would be a miracle. Championship seasons should be used for us to invest in the back end of the club. It's clear from the accounts this can't be done in L1. While yes a large part of that extra £6-8m in revenue needs to go on a handful of better players the infrastructure is a must, even if it takes 2-3 yo-yo's to finally get to a sustainable state.

Would rather be where we are though than L1 that's for sure, can only be good for the town and staying in L1 year after year would do us no good whatsoever.

Yes , very realistic here too.

Im happy with our club ethos as it is.

No doubt we have had passionate and caring leadership progressing and learning on and off the pitch. More of the same will do for me and thats all anyone can imagine realistically. That does not mean we cant have a great season. Its just to say we dont have to worry about what we dont have and focus on what we do .

Team spirit, and a united club money cannot buy and surely the reason and joy of being a supported is just to be part of this.

Money cant buy love or passion or creativity or strength of character.
