Im not sure that anything Rotherham can do would dissuade him if he wants it and an offer like this came in. Championship football at Rotherham would not be a big enough carrot.
Although Rangers aren't as big a pull as they once were, they have a big name and a big name manager now, and still get several times our attendance numbers for their home games. I imagine they have a much bigger budget than we do despite their recent troubles.
Whether it is Rangers or anyone else, it will inevitably just boil down to money.
If we can get a decent fee for WIll Vaulks and he can get a much improved contract elsewhere we have to let him go and wish him well. The same applies for any of our players and it is true of almost any club in the world.
My hope is that nothing distracts any of our staff from the job in hand between now and the 27th. What happens after that will take care of itself.
