OS said there was just over 1,000 tickets left for under 17 England game at the New York. Looked like there was only 1,000 in the ground! not that many more.
Impressed with Shrewsbury last night. They looked strong with some dangerous players especially Nolan. Have we got any players like that. I haven't seen any. If it's us against the Shrews in the final think we'd have to play 4-5-1 see if we can out battle them. There's more than one way to skin a cat!
I think Charlton still have a big say in this. They should have been at least a goal up in 20 minutes before Shrews settled. I thought that 1st half counter attack from Charltons corner was absolutely fantastic, and yes Nolan's goal was a helluva strike worthy of winning any football match. Shrews goal did lead a charmed life though. It's not decided by a long way that one. I'm not overly bothered by both of them, on our day and a bit of luck we can do it. I'm only bothered by the possible impact many thousands of Charlton fans packed into Wembley might add to their game. Each time we've been to Wembley we've had the larger support. But of course we've got 2 very tough games to get through, if Scunny play like they did against Plymouth though and we're firing I think we'll be too much for them.
I saw the Scunny match and it was bloody awful - the Chuckle Bro's team talk - "to me - to you" - but the ball was given away from one side to the other. How someone could calculate the possession stats I don't know.
But Scunny won 2-0 but surely we are better than that...fingers crossed !
Just thinking about the crowd for the return leg at the New York. If we won tomorrow say 2-0 doubt Scunny would sell there allocation of tickets. Knowing our fans will think it's job done so we'll struggle to sell out. As long as we don't lose tomorrow will set the game up nicely for next Wednesday.

It's a two legged affair, T71. That's what makes it more interesting for both teams and both sets of supporters. If we lose 2-0 at Scunny, perish the thought, I for one would still be very keen to go to the home leg. Remember the playoff final against Leyton Orient? We were trailing by two goals to nil at half time. Over two games anything can happen and I believe it will. Anyway there's probably not much to do in Scunny on a Wednesday night. Their supporters will be in Rotherham at the NYS regardless of Saturday's result. It's in the blood plus they'll have already got their tickets for the away leg.
I'm getting excited just writing about the playoffs. Lol.

UTM!
A goal either way or a draw it's all to play for. I can't for all honestly see us scoring many goals in the play-offs. Supposed to be the best sides in this league bar the two promoted sides. We're just going to have to grind the results out.
