big question does stick with 4 4 2 or go with 4 1 4 1
me personally
would got 4 4 2
emmanuel ithiewe wood mattock
williams towell vaulks newell
ball smith
subs taylor forde lavery palmer ajayi price yates purrington
gone for mattock at left back because newell some times goes to far forward and leaves the left back exposed mattock does has his faults but going for experience hence purrington on bench
ihiekwe and wood because they have played well together at the back
gone for towell and vaulks because we are a different side with towell in midfield dropped palmer to bench as we get the option of vaulk shooting we dont get when he plays in defence
same two up front ball needs a goal to get his mojo back
if no injury replace forde or taylor for williams depending on the way the game is going
lavery for ball and bring palmer on for vaulks save him for saturday
also with taylor on the bench with lavery we have the option of going 3 up front

I'll go with that though sooner play Ajayi in place of Ihiewke. If it's not working one of Palmer or Towell off replaced by Lavery up front going 4-4-2
We don't wanna come away from there with anything to chase, therefore I think Forde is a must. Having watched Scunny last week, they were poor going forward struggled against Plymouth who were utter dire. It might depend on the weather you know. If its hot, possession them to death then let Newell and Taylor at them

This is definitely our best starting XI for an away play-off semi. Unfortunately Ball hasn't worried defences enough to deserve inclusion and Williams is a great player to bring on as the opposition tires. With the pitch at Glanford Park being relatively tight, we need the neat interplay between Palmer and Towell in midfield to give us control in that area. On their day, both Forde and Newell have the ability to deliver quality crosses which Smith could capitalise on.
