Charlton?

I hope Friday's last minute goal has not taken too much out of the lads. Losing a goal that late on can magnify any knocks, bruises or fatigue issues?

I'll go for a battling 1-1.

Morning Archie.

Thanks for keeping us on track.

Looking forward to this one. Charlton were fancied at the start of the season and are having a rally. New ground for me this one - one of twelve currently in the 92 that I haven't been to - and I am really looking forward to it.

I think we will be itching to get into this game and to translate our disappointment from Saturday into action. Wood can slot back into the back four which may not be a bad think because their main striker McGennis is very physical. Vaulks to replace Towell in midfield. Taylor and/or Williams to start. Left back a problem whoever he chooses there.

I think we will battle through to a 1-0 win, but that could be heart ruling head.

Our mission is to not lose today against a Charlton team who have won their last two games. Charlton are currently in eighth place with a game in hand and with 58 points. Peterborough have also got 58 points. Plymouth in 6th place and Scun thorpe in 5th place both have 60 points. Plymouth are the current form team.
Obviously if we go on a long losing run we will drop out off the playoffs. If we lose today we will still be in 4th place on 66 points.
A draw for us will against Charlton today will be, in my book, a brilliant result. We will have a small breathing space between ourselves and the chasing pack. A point is a good point at this stage of the season.

Small apples can sometimes taste the sweetest.

 Good morning to you too.

I hope your prediction is correct, that would be a fantastic result as Charlton were one of the best teams I have seen this season.

I went to 'The Valley' a couple of years back, very impressive ground (from the inside), may be looking a little tired now but, impressive. Only problem was the Sat-Nav took me to the ground via the Woolwich Ferry rather than the tunnel, but that's a different story!! Parking was also an event in itself!

Unfortunately, I can't make it today (fourth missed game this season!) due to work commitments, so I'll listen to the game on the I-Player.

Good luck, and a safe journey to all the Millers travelling down to the game.

Plymouth's long unbeaten run was ended by Charlton so, as you say, I would also welcome a point, fingers crossed we do not get turned over.

we will lose today and lose comfortably. the late goal will hit us hard, we don't travel to london well never have. We have two injuries forcing a change in team and Smith was lucky to play on Friday. They are in form and I see us conceeding 3 or 4 goals, the big game for me is Fleetwood as we have failed to win our last two home games and only just beat Doncaster with a last minute rally, we need to win on Saturday and then there are 5 games left and we will still be 4th. I know I am a glass half empty fan at the moment, but all the signs are there for us to bottle it and drop out of the top 6, the manager admits he is learning and he makes mistakes (happy with the honesty) and at the beginning of the season if we had said to fans you will end up 7th or 8th and have a run of 14 games unbeaten and win 7 on the trot we would have snatched your hand off. However scrapping into the playoffs however we do it, would be an excellent first season for Warne, I do not want to go up though and I hate myself for saying it.I do not think the club is ready, forget the team the whole club feels like a league 1 club and significant changes needs to happen before we can establish ourselves as a championship club.

By the way, I will be happy for them to prove me wrong

Assuming Mattock & Towell are out 3 changes from Friday. Vaulks into midfield. Wood or Ihiewke at centre back. Purrington at Left back. I'd like to see Taylor up front with Smith. He was a goalscorer before he joined us. Wiles on the bench.

Currently trailing by one goal to nil at half time due to a Zyro goal scored on 28 minutes. Plenty to do now to get back on level terms.

Think we are going to fade away and out of the play offs. I do question the lack of battling mentality in this squad. Hope they prove me wrong !

Just as I said, you can tell from the mentality of Warne, he doesn't sound confident and that is going into the players, this is not a blip and will continue until the end of the season, Fleetwood on a small winning streak and saturday is make or break for the season, if we lose or draw then we will just drop away. The main reason that is a very bad thing is confidence, the club will finish the season on a big low, players go away into the summer down, we won't spend big because we don't have the money, the players will know that and so there will be a lack of confidence in the start of next season, if we start bad it will run and run. Sport is so much in the head, most teams are similar in ability, it is the tactics and motivation skills of the manager, the support around the team like facilities sports science that make a few percentages difference the main difference is always in the head.

I am depressed now

Bottom line is you get what you pay for.

Legs cost £
Experience cost £
Brains cost £

And we're on a budget - a third tier budget.

Can't see any hairdryer treatment after the match only an arm round and commiserations.

Do we want it or are we here already.....that's why EVO goes frantic - he wants it and transmits that to his players....

It just provides that EDGE we don't have.

We'll see.....common Rotherham !

People will pull me down for what I say. We haven't got a right back good enough. No cover at centre back. Have we got any real wingers? Weakest forward line we've had for as long as I can remember. How we are were we are is a sign of how bad this league is. Couldn't do much about team selection today but doubt if Williams will battle away from home. Palmer & Newell wouldn't have them down as players away from home who'd be there when the going gets tough. Tell me if I'm wrong.

We are still in fourth place five points clear of Peterborough and Charlton. We also have a better goal difference. Message to Warne and the players, keep calm, re-group and come back fighting next Saturday.

Having said that I'm sure that we are not ready for promotion to the Championship.
