McCarthy To Leave Ipswich

At the end of this season.

Ipswich fans may regret agitating to have him removed.  Not sure that anybody could do a better job with the resources they have.

And a good manager will be available in the Summer.

One of our neighbouring football clubs may need a decent manager in the next few months.

Nailed on he'll be at Oakwell before too long.

At the moment we have a manager. I can't imagine that we are going to sack Warne and neither should we. I guess Warne might be poached to go to a bigger club if he continues to be successful with us. Unless that happens, we won't need a new manager next season but if we did, I would be happy if it was McCarthy.

Warney is on a rolling contract. So no sacking, just don't renew his & the other management contracts. I don't think Warney can take us any further forward. Two good managers available now & in the summer. ex- S****horpe & Ipswich managers.

Been today. Warney: take back what I've said. Can't see anyone doing much better on our budget.

A rolling one year contract means that at any given time he is entitled to 12 months notice if we decide to dispense with his services.

At his age can't see why he wouldn't want to retire.

NW wants personal records with Cardiff so he'll persist but the pain of management and the club's who might hire him will be another tight budget pain in the arr5s club that will be no joy to him....I suspect he doesn't need the money.
