The Millers v The Posh - Match Result Predictions

Will it be a good result for Evans on Good Friday?   I'm sure there will have been a scouting party sent

out by us to watch The Posh in action. The danger will come from their two front men Jack Marriott with 23 goals and Junior

Morias 6 goals respectively. The majority of those goals being scored inside the yard box. We need to mark them out of

the game as well as  win the battle in midfield. Warne will have done his homework for this one.

 

We have to try and not lose this match. A draw will keep us on track to reach the play-off finals. A draw for Evans' team will

be a setback. He will be anxious to get all three points. A defeat for the Posh will be a disaster.

I hope that I am proven wrong but The Posh may just edge this match by  2 goals to 1

Tough one to call but the Posh forwards are more clinical than the average forwards of this league and fired up by EVO I fear for our fragile defence.

They will put us under pressure from the start and we rarely face teams that punish us for the chances we gift them - I think the Posh will be too much and we'll gift them a goal then they'll take another 2 - so 0 - 3 for me.

A judgement made without the prejudice obviously overwhelming others regarding EVO. Really looking forward to the battle - I think it's an opportunity to really see the metal of our side - alas my prediction is based on our back two central defenders ability to gift goals to our opponents - many not taken due to lack of quality - the POSH won't be so forgiving.

So heart 2-0 - head 0-3

Warne's recent interview in which he discusses this game is bizarre to say the least. As I mentioned in the opening post, the Posh are looking good to take at least one point from the game. The Posh will not be **bricking** it. That's for sure.


**bricking** - For the uninitiated that's a reference to the Posh and their nickname in the early part of the 20th Century when they were referred to as 'The Brickies'.

I do think we are doing a slight disservice to our team. Get Newell back on the left, Evans will be concerned about him as Joe can be a game changer on his day, get Forde or Taylor on the right to snuff out Maddison (although, according to my 'Posh' mate, he will spend most of his time rolling about on the floor pretending he's been shot!) and I think we should have more than enough for them.

Looking forward to it, 3-1 Millers.

Our games against them aren't usually goalfests so I'm going 1-0 Miller's, and I'll give a SE a round of applause too, life's too short and he gave me some very happy times with my son's including Wembley.

Just remembered isnt there bad blood between barker and evans. That will keep 4th official busy

The benches should be on the large TV just for the FA after the match to hand out fines...sparks will be flying....a good watch and a result will be a good omen for the season and PW tenure.

They need to win more than we do so will come at us. It should be an open game. I can see it being 2-1 either way. Just not sure which way.

Raynor/Barker would be an interesting tussle. I don't know who would win that one either.

Can't see a draw....they'll be blood and guts this afternoon....Vaulks will probably be sent off - undeserved two yellows - because he'll be tackling hard - and ref's today are basketball ref's.

 That was no bore draw. It was an awesome game. Even Ajayi kept Marriott at bay for much of the game. Another point in the bag for us. I wonder if Evans is happy with just a point today?

Actually thought we would lose today. A mistake to give away a goal then punished twice for going for it tactics - so my prediction was 0-3.

I went on to say my heart wanted 2-0.

But only postulated an ironic 0-0 bore draw !

I was a better player than a pundit but according to the above that wouldn't be hard...lol

My heart wanted 2-0 and it should have been AT LEAST THAT !

ALSO SCARED ABOUT "BOTTLING IT"!
