Talked with a fellow fan after the game yesterday who has been a regular follower of this site. He told me that he is now reluctant to look in following the arrival of a couple of posters who appear to be bent on posting controversial rubbish for no other reason than to bring attention upon themselves. He found this really disappointing as he regarded the general quality of comments on Banter to be well informed and constructive. My message to these self seeking intruders - shape up or ship out - you know who you are!

I'm sure that there are several other would be posters who have been put off using this site after someone suddenly appears on this site after a lengthy absence to inform us what we already know about MM. One particular individual has an axe to grind with MM. Another individual, who appears to be that same individual with the axe, carries on with the same empty rhetoric. There are some benefits and some drawbacks of being a multi on any site. I would say to the recent influx of multis please use your alter egos sparingly as it's patently obvious that those puppets don't go to watch the Millers on match day. The puppets just talk to each other and about each other. It's glaringly obvious. Well, it is to me. Recently I responded to a thread started by a Bear. Now that cannot be right. For all you know I might be one of those puppets being controlled by a master multi. Anyway, I've got to go now as my master is making a cup of coffee. Have a super Sunday and keep posting.
UTM!

Some of these comments and comments made on a couple of other threads are far too cryptic. people should name names. Wotsiname is just upset with me because I had a go at his chess prowess. Admittedly I did mention MM when I came back on Banter but that was in the context of five recent Banter threads which contain references to MM. People should be straight up: if they have a problem with me posting just say so.
Actually, re-reading Glenn's comments, Glenn ought to have told his mate to grow up. Moreover, if someone has a problem with site content they should come on and post about it. By the way what is a "follower": presumably someone who reads the content but can't be rrsed to join or contribute. A big loss indeed.
T71 is clearly on a wind up only have to look at other site to see what he did.
I’m not a frequent user but prefer this site than the other one.
I’ve stopped posting after T71 obviously looking to wind people up has started with the usual I’m more write than wrong JCH blah blah.
Shame because although I don’t post a lot I do like reading the views on here even if I don’t always agree with them.
Like I said Shame cause some decent posters on here. But people like T71 AKA guwru have done it for me.
Keep saying this I'm not an attention seeker on a wind up. I'm a massive fan of RUFC. I don't go to away games now cause I go to games to watch football. Never miss a home game incl' cups/checkatrade & friendley's. So got an opinion. Warney not my idea a manager. Signings he's made, our actual players can anybody tell me apart from Ajayi any player whose improved the side. Take our strikers, put them all together you wouldn't make a good one. Loans this season Moore, Rodak & Towell yes improved the side. Don't think Emmanuel is a natural full back, can't see nothing in Lavery. Glad were we are in the league but can only see league 1 football next season. Finally team selection for the match day 18 is always the same. No young players given a chance, no full back on the bench namely Purrington. It's like Warney hasn't got that mean streak in in him every good manager needs. To discard certain players. Football is all about evolvement. We're stuck with the same players every game. We aren't progressing.

The only way to respond to such posts is to simply ignore them. They are frustrating and you get fed up seeing the same issues raised the same points being put forward, as if we didn't understand the first time it was said. Just ignore the post they obviously relish the attention.
So all the above was two years ago and we are still losing decent posters due to the crass and often disgraceful interventions ruining a decent debate,
The thread re FAO Exetermiller on the football page is a case in point. We have been informed that nothing can be done to stop the on line baiting tactics which swamps just about every thread posted; yet the prime malefactor, was, for quite a while banned from MM. Apparently this cannot be the case here. Why?
If we are to take a look back over the last couple of years, it's easy to see the methodology of the process. I have to wonder whether these individuals/person have any meaningful input in their/ his life, since they spend so much time on here upsetting and angering others morning, noon and night.
Seems we have several options:-
Ban them/ him and be damned. Will they go to law? Highly unlikely. But I suspect there isn't the will.
Blank them and ignore them, which is a nuisance and very difficult for most. Even the hardest nuts on here have at one time or other responded to the baiting.
Cancel your account and leave. This would be a great shame, not only for the offended leaver, but also for those who would normally engage in debate with him.
Whatever is the solution, if banning is not on the cards, must be down to the individual, but we must take back our forum, otherwise it will become a forum of 3 or 4 posters. Take a look back over the years to see how many names don't post anymore. Posters are beginning to take offence.
It's a very good post. I enjoy the site and dont want to give it up, but there is no doubt that it is dragged down by one poster (possibly two) who make that their goal and revel in doing it. It is equally obvious that quite a few posters have quit because of them. Many have made that clear before signing off. If the offenders had any sense of decency they would either pack it in or mend their ways, but that isnt going to happen. My way of dealing with it (which others probably already do and I havent had the discipline to) will now be to think of him or them as the voices of uninvited guests sitting on the periphery. They might not go away even though they know they are not welcome, and nobody is going to throw them out, but to all intents and purposes in my mind they are no longer there.
Whose these good posters whose left this site? I can only remember 2 one hope it's for good hacking personal details. Other Iwasatvillapark I'd like back think he thought I meant him about long posts, it was in general. Some on here think the world revolves around them. We don't want a site full of Warney boys that would be sad! You'd have to have a Warney boys name. smiler how's smiles sound? Keep posting. UTM
After not posting since August, Wotsisname, you seem to have become active again just as Gwru and THMiller exited. It does seem much quieter without them. Personally, given the choice I would rather have relative quiet than listen metaphorically to fingernails scraping across blackboards all day. What I suspect we all want is for the site to be busier with real contributions. Hopefully that will happen when the football returns. There will be plenty to talk about Millers-wise in a couple of weeks time. UTM, as you say.
