Has any player we have had on loan performed as well as Towell ,he's been absolutely terrific for us , yesterday I believe he was the difference, putting Donny under pressure in defence  and up front ,then when we got the penalty he was incensed Joe Newell grabbed the ball obviously penalty takers sorted before hand but it's heart warming to see a loanee showing so much passion .

Sounds like the bloke who used to sell seafood on the front at Brid Len! But I agree entirely with what you're saying.

He was the main reason we got the win against Donny. We needed someone to get the game by the scruff of the neck and he was the one who did it. His sixty yard run down the right wing and cross at the end of it was inspirational. I don't remember many loan players who have contributed as much as Towell. Dicko over a short time, and Tavernier added a lot of quality over a season, but Towell definitely wears his heart on his sleeve and gives 100% for the cause.

Towell was good but Vaulks our own player equally so. Think Towell is a honest type of player, if we go up give him our best offer to stay.

Vaulks did ok. Towell was better. On the whole, Towell is the better footballer. There is room for improvement in there. At times we need to get on the ball more and control the flow of a game better. At times Vaulks in particular treats the ball like a hot potato. He should have more confidence in his ability to get it down and pass it simple. Generally positive though - as a midfield pair they have a lot to do, work very well together and deserve a lot of credit. We haven't really missed Frecklington at all, which speaks volumes.

I'm sure Palmer will have let Towell and Vaulks know that he joined the game at 90+1 minutes after which Rotherham turned into a different team. I think Towell and Palmer are similar players - Towell seems to have a bit more energy and Palmer seems to have an incisive pass - both will work well alongside Vaulks who needs a midfield partner who adds stability. I reckon Vaulks has great potential - he's got fantastic athletic ability, a great shot, a great leap, a great throw and boundless energy - if he can lift his head and put his foot on the ball from time to time, like Towell, he could be special. He is improving without a doubt. At the moment, the midfield has an abundance of talent.
