Millers v Doncaster

Another game were we will look to extend the unbeaten run. It will be a sell out and I’m expecting a great atmosphere. Although Doncaster’s form has not been great and the 3-0 won flattered them a little against a poor Fleetwood, I’d expect them to be up for it and we will need another lung busting performance to come out on top. My prediction? 3-0 the the Millers... Team: mattock back in, no other changes needed.

Be near enough same side. All I'm asking for is a proper left back. We have 3 of them.

TS can’t justify the expense of a second drum, something to do with multiple broken drum sticks.....

I agree T71 on the left back.... purrington is not fit but Surprised ***mings didn’t play. PW prefers Volkes in centre defence rather than Ike. But then ike at left back rather then ***mings...

Local derby so form and everything out the window. This is also probably the last game of any significance for them this season so I expect a dog fight. My prediction is we will win their cup final 😁 by at least 2 goals.

My biggest worry is that Marquis falls over a lot and sometimes referees give soft penalties.

Looking forward to a sell out game and a big performance. Donny aren't easy to beat. Our winning run has to end some time, but not this weekend. I think we will win it by the odd goal.

2-1 to the Millers.

When I'm saying we have 3 left backs I'm including Hinds. ***ming never looks fit, he's a right back. Ihiewkwe is right sided as well as being a centre back. If Mattock & Purrington aren't fit & manager who doesn't play young players doesn't think Hinds is ready play with wing backs. Then he can get Palmer involved. Forde & Newell as wing backs.

Its a derby at the end of the day and despite some of the less grown up comments on DeeDah, I cant see it being a walk over.

Any win will do!

i have feeling this is going to be  a better match than the reverse fixture on the telly

we will want to keep our run going and they will want to get back to back wins even though the 2 donny fans here at work are saying they will be up against it on saturday

Hmm, if mattock and purrington are both not fit, I’m not a fan of sticking a non left sided player like ike in there either. You do need a left footer.... has Forde ever played left back?

That left back spot could be the difference between winning and losing because I believe who ever has the job will be potentially up against their best player ? Coppinger  ?

If Warney starts with Ickhwe, fair enough but if he struggles then we need Purrington on the bench to maKev the necessary changes if it goes wrong ?

I predict there will be plenty of trouble in the town ? So keep vigilant.

Seems to answer the question on Purington. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/rotherham-united/rotherham-united-why-300-000-purrington-couldn-t-get-in-warne-s-millers-side-1-9025803/amp?__twitter_impression=true

With what's at stake ( as well as bragging rights ) it could be the game of the season - so far anyway.

Think it'll be a game for Vaulks and Towell tackles. Hope that there are no silly cards !

Does anyone know how many Donni have sold?

Or have I missed it ?

Apart from the left back position I'm happy that we're stronger than Donny in every department. The Purrington situation is really disappointing. When he first played for us I was surprised by his lack of pace for such a young lad and considering the fee we paid for him. He's never looked really settled in the LB position and doesn't appear to have the attacking flair that Mattock brings. Taking his injury into consideration, he may never have the chance to prove himself. If a right footed CB pips you to the LB shirt there's not much hope!

Warney is saying Ihiewke did enough at left back against Oxford to keep the shirt. I couldn't see it. Purrington he's had a full game for the reserves today. Hope he's done enough to play against Donny in case Mattock is out. Can't work Warney's bench out. We've got Vaulks who can cover right back with Palmer to cover midfield. But we have ***mings on the bench but no left back cover. We have Yates on whose never going to come on while Johno the most progressive of our strikers looking like a player at last now he's been given game time.

Hmmm, so purrington has played the whole reserve game today so we can assume he’s fit. That’s good... So if Mattock isn’t fit this weekend he should play, so we will wait and see what PW things.
