Warney put my lotto no's on tonight!

We even win with Ihiewke at left back. Sounded from commentary a dour game, don't think there was a real chance for either side in the 2nd half. I hate seeing players out of position at left back when we have Purrington & Hinds. Hope Donny give us a game next week. Want to judge us against a good league 1 side on Form. Good win but want us tested.

Shocking post that.

We win away against the top team in the league as measured over 32 games to make it 13 unbeaten including games against most of the top half sides, and that's what you've got to say about it?

Astonishing.

If you're looking for a side to test us on Form, what better test than playing the team at the top of the league at their own stadium?

Just a tip - when you are replying and quoting a post you start typing under the line.

We are winning every week and are the second highest scorers in the division.  The players are giving everything for the cause.  But you're still not happy.

If it wasn't so tragic it would be funny.

Curious - a win at top of the league is an amazing achievement going by how the team have developed to get to that after we lost to them at home.

If there is a single mention of Darnelle Bailey-King (who couldn't get a game at North Ferriby United) being the best winger at the club, I could be persuaded to agree  biggrin

BK next season. Johno another one I champion goal today, go show them JCH. I'm not on no wind up, never have been even on MM. Mostly good people on there, just a few who are up themselves. I just like us to be the best we can be.

You're a piece of work alright T71. Nothing like endearing yourself to this board with some sensible posts!

Can I just check that I've interpreted your sentiments correctly (because they do need unravelling somewhat). Are you suggesting that Warnie takes the boys for a makeover next Saturday morning, a quick spray on tan and a nail job, and orders in some nice new snazzy silk shirts. Now that would be entertaining and they would be looking good.

And who are these illusive Home Fans? Are they different to the Away Fans? It's an interesting concept but one I find uncomfortable being both a home and away fan.

Entertaining wrong word. Effective high tempo winning football. Home crowds expect more than dour football. But winning football everyone is going home happy. Hope we are at least in the play-offs then see how we go about winning.

Sorry - I have tried really hard but I cannot make head nor tail of what you are on about. Just to be clear, the Rotherham fans leaving S****horpe last Saturday were just as happy as the Rotherham fans leaving NYS on Tuesday.  Everyone I have seen at a Rotherham game over the last 13 matches has been happy. Are you sure you're watching the same team as the rest of us on this board?

Maybe T71 you're treated to too much sky football?

This is league one, we are 4th and 13 games unbeaten, scored in the last 26 matches running?, won the last 6. That comes by proper coaching, good management on the football side and more importantly man management. Let's face it - we haven't spent our way here have we? - as we simply haven't got it to spend. The club is being propped up with way OTT ASD advertising revenue. I would be interested to see what ASD could get elsewhere for similar advertising expenditure and I bet it's far and above a club with our status?

This, right now, is even better than last time we did it through the Play Offs, and draws more parallels to when Ronnie did it when Warney was pivotal of that as a player.

I can only congratulate what Warney and the staff have done, it appears you can polish a turd and even serve it inside humble pie!

there's a player there, you'll see i'm right...

Considering most of the team came from getting absolutely mullered last season, where we are at the moment is astonishing and a credit to the coaching staff and players. Whether we can carry on, I do not know but, this season, even at this stage, can only be considered as a major success.
Some people earlier in the season quite expected RUFC to plummet into League 2 without so much as a whimper (and who could blame them after the weekly disappointments?), we are, thank goodness, a million miles from that predicament (which was also predicted by a few of the more optimistic posters).

As for the team not being entertaining!!!!! We score goals for fun and play a very aggressive pressing game which is a pleasure to watch. We have quite possibly the four best wingers in the league that go by players effortlessly. One of them went past three players on two separate occasions on Tuesday night, that for me is entertainment and something you do not usually see in this day and age.

So for the rest of the season RUFC, please keep on not entertaining by scoring goal after goal and winning week on week.wink
