Different class, playing with confidence, all did well, Forde was just quality (apart from that right blooper 1st half), and anything Vaulks can do I can do better eh - what a screamer for that 1st goal.

Really pleased for Warney

It was too easy for us early on but when Mattock went off injured, we struggled to hold our shape and Oxford came back into the game. The third goal was a relief and we could have gone on to score many more after that. Forde's contribution was absolutely top class. His first goal was as good as anything we've seen at NYS this season. His work on the right wing to provide for Smith's goal was sensational. Humble pie awaiting anyone who said he couldn't beat a man. I personally thought that Emmanuel and Ball were slightly below par tonight and Taylor seemed to lack his usual energy when he came on. Iheikwe grew into the match and ended up one of our most constructive players. Quality again from Vaulks and Towell with Smith putting in another gigantic effort. Unbeaten in 12, 4th in the League, scored in the last 25 games, solidly in the playoff group and breathing down the necks of the automatic promotion spots - very happy!!

Never felt like we wouldn't win tonight and I thought the score flattered them - the one off the post and the clear penalty foul on Ball should have given us 5 at least. Pleased because of the cup disaster last year when we played them at NYS. I'm no fan of Forde but he was excellent tonight and all of a sudden is taking on the full back every time. Letting Frecks go has also made Vaulks and Towell stronger. I'm liking Smith a lot too - he could be a cracker.

I noticed with Smith how well he links with any partner, usually you have to develop an understanding but that part of his game is outstanding, it's rare he makes a wrong decision on what to do with holding, a flick or the right lay off.

Yes there were things to improve, but we've got momentum, strength in depth, the bench can give us something different. We'll always have a mistake in us, and I feel when it comes to the crunch of play offs it will be our undoing but very pleased how the staff have turned over their group of players. We conceded a good goal today, but in the 1st half there were 2 incidents where Fordey messed up and then Wood & Semi left a ball for each other, Semi finally took some semblence of ownership of the ball between them but then was undecided when Rodak came out. That lack of taking ownership concerns me. Vaulks had a right shout at both of them after and rightly so. If semi is gonna grow to be a top centre half he's gotta start taking situations by the scruff of the neck, but I'm sure he'll get it.

Another great win.

I think we have played a lot better than that recently, but we put a massive shift in on Saturday and maybe it caught up with us a bit. We still deserved the points though and never looked like not winning it.

Other results went ok for us. Charlton and Bradford drawing and Peterborough and Scunny drawing works pretty nicely. I suspect our charge is too late to give us more than an outside chance of the top two but we are opening up a tidy gap between us and seventh with games in hand on some of those now below us. All of a sudden there doesn't seem to be many games left. We have timed our good run really well. All good stuff.

Great night great result
vaulks and towell showing great leadership in midfield

fab goal from forde really improved and continuing to put his doubters me included to shame

towell fought for everything

smith i wonder if the bury fans are regretting all the negative comments now and to me has replaced moore better than we could hope

my only negatives are for the officials

the linesman ben bennett side was poor

ref penalised the oxford defence only once for the persistant holding of smith and bottled the penalty shout

also the back pass in the 2nd half are they no longer punished with a free kick
