going forward into next season

If we dont get promoted through the playoffs I wont be disappointed.  I would still count this season as a success if we carry on as we are.

but this summer tony needs to loosen the purse strings if we are to get back to the championship for the 2019/2020 season

WE NEED SIGNED PERM

GOAL KEEPERS X 2

RIGHT BACK

CENTRAL DEFENDERS X 2

RIGHT WINGER X1

2 x central midfielders t

STRIKERs  X2

That's quite a shopping list there, HM. Perhaps another striker checking in before the transfer window closes this week. It would be a bonus if we landed a decent right back. It's an exciting time to be a Miller.

It is quite a list and I feel that will require at least 2 more summers to be anywhere near, progressive and talented enough (plus giving time for further off field development?). I think it's safe to say that next time we go up we need to spend a season (if we stay up), ac***ulating some cash ready for player investment, we failed to do that last time, in fact we did the reverse dismantled large parts of it.

yes its quite a list but the main priorities

are the 2 gk as i cant see us signing rodak and price can go

right back as we only have ***mings on a perm
we need the central midfielders as towell is a loan unless we can sign him and potter is not going to give us a full season

Caolan Lavery, loan signing until end of season, HM. That's another striker that can be ticked off your list.

Keep the faith.

You do not turn away an opportunity to advance. Our squad is much more progressive than last time we went up.Gone are the "championship experienced wasters",we have a much younger hungrier bunch of skillful players, who can also improve. The Blades did it last season ,why can't we this season?

100% agree with you New Yorker. I am sure all our players want promotion this season and many wont relish another season in Lge 1 and may want to move on if that's the case. It would then be re-building again in what is sure to be a harder division to get out of than the current campaign. Let's go for it !

Strikers wise - don't forget we should have Proctor back, and providing he comes back as good as he was at the beginning of this season before his injury - it will be like a very good new signing...

Heart says go for it (otherwise what's the point?), head says too early, but it's only too early as I don't trust that past lessons have been learned, but then how am I going to know they have if the club aren't given an opportunity to show that.

Promotion is like dating... trust me I know !

Hhaha yeah but at the minute its initial euphoria followed by broken promises and substance not backing up the rhetoric - sound familiar?

The one thing that's missing - and still isn't high on the club's agenda is a respected academy. With this is the right people that have respect and CV that shows excellence in bringing players through these academies. That's what is missing.

Warne was sent on a course - RB has a dubious CV BUT neither has the experience / knowledge / ability to develop youth and attract the BEST candidates.

That's what "hitting the panick button" cost us.

We're back to square one now - digging for diamonds but with no one to Polish them !

thing is digging for diamonds most clubs only find a rare one thats been missed by the big boys scouts

wiles is a good example and i think warne will be playing him in the first team sooner than later possibly off the bench
