I've got two, both from League Two, Centre Half Zander Diamond who is now at SE's Mansfield, a tough uncompromising Centre Back who doesn't try to play too much football, roughs the oppositions forward line up a bit, can head & tackle well & importantly has a good goal scoring record, bit iffy disciplinary though. Second one I think we could get if we try is striker Billy Kee at Accrington but if we get him Warnie's hoofball will have to go. Very good scoring record in the lower leagues. Kee has a bit of the Alfie about him.
I think realistic might mean free Brad. Or cheap. Unless he was playing a game of bluff, Warne commented recently that Doidge at Forest Green has scored a few so has attracted some attention and will therefore not be a realistic target for us. He is plying his trade at the bottom of League Two. So on face value you have to query whether the Ward money is going to be available to help with recruitment, or has it gone on paying off Dexter and plugging other holes in the budget?
People I know who watch Chesterfield rate Kristian Dennis very highly. Chesterfield might not be able to afford to turn down any sort of sensible offer for him.
lets be realistic here do you really think tony( top5 budget ) is going to splash the cash when he spent a 10th of the money we for from d ward sale on proctor
unless im proved wrong our team is on a downward spiral.
tony as long as he keeps getting revenue from international etc wont be bothered
