The question regarding ian still remains unanswered. There appears to be a connection with ian going AWOL and a lack of

activity on this board. Sickly suggested I ask kempo.  Sickly has now gone AWOL. Did the success of this board rely on the

input from ian and kempo?

I have resisted posting on here for a few days. The topic of football conversation has now turned to another club, their head

coach and some guy called Chansiri. My interest is  whether RUFC, can claim a top six spot at the end of the season and  also

manage to secure the services of  Kieffer Moore. I understand  RUFC can afford to buy Moore. Will Mick McCarthy allow

the deal to go ahead? I'll stop now. I've just been stricken by apathy.  I'm going to take a chill pill with a cup of decaf tea.


PS The contents of the chill pills will remain forever a mystery. I don't know why I bought them in the first place. I think they

are a placebo.

Chill pills are very very real!

I think we're all stuck in a limbo. While its great to see us winning matches again and more importantly playing well especially at home, is there only so far we want that to go? - we all know what would happen should we get promoted and we all don't want that!

We want 'success' but limited to not get promoted? Do we need to see more evidence at the backend of the club to convince us we can do better next time? - it will take more than building a small commune for the players on the training ground that's for sure.

I don't think we'll keep Moore, I don't think it's as ultimately down to big Mick, Moore will be on the radar of many other clubs more willing to splash the cash and price us out.

Could be worse though, could be Chezzie!

- oh and the stats rate keep increasing, now beyond 4.5m page views since the start of Banter 3years ago - although where Ian has gone is a mystery - he did sterling work for the prediction league and gave away some very worth while prizes of which those in receipt will be forever grateful.

Good points Ex. I was having a conversation with someone yesterday concerning promotion. To answer WOTS question about claiming a top 6 spot, yes, I think we can get in the play-offs. Would I welcome it? Not sure, the memories are so raw from last year, the thought of promotion fill me more with dread than Joy at the moment.

We won't keep Moore - if you are struggling in the championship you go for him - like we were (well almost) for Gregory and the other kid. What would be a club record to us is peanuts to other clubs and wages would be a major factor. I feel the same regarding success and also can't help keep feeling disappointed at our shocking defence and inconsistent away form. I wonder if we actually would learn a lesson from our painful experience of the championship.

The apathy is a bit puzzling as football matters seem to be going quite well (for us). Contentment? Very little to complain about? could be a factor. I try & jiggle debate along from time to time but to little avail. mmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Maybe a lot of our supporters are quite happy and as a result don't have many complaints. I'm sure this board will get busier should our

fortunes take a nosedive. On the subject of Kieffer Moore. I wonder how much we are prepared to fight to make him a permanent

fixture down at NYS? Naturally other clubs will show an interest in Kieffer Moore. What he needs to remember is that some club may

sign him up and keep him on the bench match after match. He is a young striker who will make his mark in the Championship/Premier

League perhaps two to three years down the line. Meanwhile he can help the Millers to maintain a respectable position in League One.

People may argue that the wage bill will soar if he, KF, stays at the NYS. Other players may demand a pay rise. That's the dilemma which

will no doubt have to be resolved by the RUFC management.


PS The chill pill kicked in a couple of hours ago. Well, I think it did. relax.gif
