One of the things that stands out for me whilst watching the Goals on Five programme is the ancient appearance of most of the stadiums plus the fact that most of them look virtually empty! It is really easy to forget sometimes how good we have it at NYS!

Very true Glenn. As the gulf between the 'have's and the have not's' gets bigger, I cannot see how some of the clubs will survive. The appearance of some of the grounds just emphasises the state of the finances in the game and how hard it is to just keep afloat.

I noticed that there is a token sign announcing the 'Crown Oil Arena'. It will always be Spotland in my book. But hey, sponsorship does count for a lot in today's game.

I often wondered how much Mansfield Ales paid for their advert over the Railway End…'Footballers like Mansfield Bitter' that was up there for decades.
