Win at Rochdale

Great win.  Better in some ways grinding out a hard fought 1-0 away win in horrible conditions than smashing someone at home.

Williams is getting better and better.  Defensively we were pretty solid - O'Donnell sound.  Frecks fitness a worry again but Vaulks did a decent job.  Forde worked hard.  Potter again was a big influence.

Well done all round.

Just read Keith Hills comments by the way. Very one eyed. He talks about them deserving something because they pressed in the last few minutes. To be honest we should have been two or three in front by then. The better side definitely won. And he says we used 'gamesmanship' - I think he means we play acted/went down easily. Truth be told Rochdale were a bit dirty, and I am fed up of us being naive so if we are being a bit smarter, good. I suppose managers under pressure have to blame someone to deflect attention.

Great win, and should have been higher, but for some lacklustre finishing and defensive blocks. Having said that, we almost gave it away at the death, but that's Rotherham United I guess. We need to pick up as many points as possible this month, cos I'm not yet sure that November is going to give us many.

I thought it was a horrible advert for League 1. A truly truly horrible game devoid of any kind of quality - both teams hell bent on the playing the percentages.

However if we want to finish where we are at the minute, these are the ugly games we have to win aren't they? - and obviously we're not going to be able to play fluid attacking football every game.

We don't half have luck on our side at the minute though
