11 games in and what do we think

we  are 11 games in and there are a lot of positive and a few negatives

positives

we seem to be finding the net

seem to be a lot fitter

team spirit is solid now we have lost a few bad eggs apparently

negatives

playing a gung ho attacking style to quote paul warne is making us a hard team to beat but we need to shoring up at set pieces

get guys at the two posts

i guessing that warne has a plan b of attacking using ball when he back fit

I don't think we're that gung ho in the away games I've seen?

I think it comes down to this.

Those that sit back against us eventually get ground down, that's down to our superior possession and fitness - polar opposite to last 3 years.

Those that have a go at us, we can't cope - never look like keeping a clean sheet especially away from home, even Npton on Satdi should have had a goal or 2.

Address the latter and we could have a good season.

I'm pleased with our season so far - shame about proctor because I thought he looked a very good player. Defence has to shape up or ship out, at Blackburn we were like rabbits caught in the headlights and should have been 3-0 down at ht.

Goals are coming which is excellent and I still think 8th for the season, I said it a while ago but to repeat we should have made an offer and signed a pre Jan arrangement for Moore.

On Moore, the risk is two-fold.

1: If we do bust the bank to get him, could this destabilise the dressing room, his wages will be significantly more than the others on our payroll.

2: If he is playing out of his skin to obtain a contract with us, the risk again is goal drought after he has got what he wants.

I personally think its a nice dilemma to have, But more of our own players should be scoring.

At some stage we have to take the plunge and buy one of these players that we chase ,in my opionion if we have to break the bank to sign Moore then do it because I can't see us picking anyone up as good also if we can keep improving him that's money in the bank ,also Towel comes into same category, unlike a lot of players we have had on loan in last few seasons this lot want to play for us well done recruitment staff.

The season has panned out pretty much how I expected.
Paul Warne has immense experience at this level. The level is our natural level.

With 2 fitness coaches, if we can't get them fit now then forget it.

I've never been one for getting mardy about losing, but do get mardy about how we lose. Last year the team were a disgrace because they didn't give a damn. They just took the money. This season I see passion. I don't mind if we lose now - if they try their best then that's all I can ask.

In summary I am pleased - mainly down to attitude and our ability to compete at this level.
