Anybody know what was going on after the final whistle?  Their bench seemed to be going barmy, having to be restrained, and one of their coaching staff seemed to suggesting to Pollitt that there had been a headbutt involved somewhere.

Lee Clark apparently sent to the stands at half time.

All a bit bonkers, because they could have had no complaints if we had beaten them by half a dozen and I didn't see any officiating that could have made them think they were hard done to.  In fact I thought the ref was decent today.  If anything a bit slow to get his yellow card out but same for both sides.

All a bit of a mystery Smiler. I saw the fracas in the centre circle after the full time whistle but nothing that provoked it. Apparently Towell had a bit of banter with the Bury bench after his goal. But surely no-one in the Bury set-up could imagine that they were robbed today?

The opposition don't like it up 'em, Mr Mainwaring.

They tried the strong arm tactics all the way through the game and just carried on. Bury fans were honest enough to say we deserved it but the coaching staff held a hurl a teddy contest.

I had a wry smile at Lee Clarks post match comments. He said his team didn't have the mentality to try and win it when they twice pegged us back. Perhaps they followed his example. Before we scored he was encouraging them to take their time and after they equalised he was doing everything he could to slow play down. All the signals were that he would try and hang on to a point. Second half his assistant did exactly the same after Clark had been sent to the stand for dissent. No doubt he'll be lecturing his team about discipline as well.
