Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor, 29  says that he is going to beat Floyd Mayweather, 40.

Floyd Mayweather says that it will be Conor McGregor's 'last fight'.  

Floyd Mayweather is probably one of the best boxers ever to pull on a pair of gloves.

 

I think Conor McGregor may regret taking on a boxing superstar.

 

Empty barrels make the most noise springs to mind.

 

I don't think that the match is good for the sport of boxing.

Conor McGregor may get seriously hurt in this one.

We will have to wait and see.

I sort of want Mayweather to win just to preserve what little integrity there is left in the sport, but then by taking the fight and the money Mayweather has done his own bit to create the circus.

Ban boxing.

Muhammad Ali took the fight against Antonio Inoki in1976. Inoki was a well known and well loved Japanese wrestler. It was a curious affair and billed as the fight of the 20th century. It turned into a farce. Lots of the crowd wanted their money back from the word 'go'. Shall we see the same with McGregor and Mayweather?

I'm not disappointed with the result. Mayweather now has a 50-0 record.
McGregor was very tired going into the 10th round.

Referee stopped the fight to prevent McGregor getting seriously hurt.

I am a huge boxing fan but it never even entered my mind to pay to watch this so called bout.
Pantomime is the word i was using when anyone asked my opinion of the thing.
In my opinion Mayweather used McGregor and his popularity with the younger generation to sell pay per view subscriptions.
He is a very clever man out of the ring just as he his inside it.

Mayweather recieved £200 million,McGregor £75 million

There is life after football. I too watch a lot of other sports including boxing. Muhammad Ali took the fight against Antonio Inoki in1976. That too was a pantomime. Whoever said that sport is straightforward?

Not even Fischer v Spassky. There was more drama in that confrontation.
