3 defeats out of 4 and cant get a point away from.home for love or money. we are still a long way away from being a decent team. lack of a defensive midfielder to sit in front of the back four will hurt us none of our 3 main central midfielders can play in that position, i was shocked that warne says we need a reserve centre back before a solid battling ball winning defensive midfielder.
Never got a handle on their 11 who was involved in totally everything they did. A lot of players ineffective today, to be fair the game could have ended 3-3. The difference though, Proctor should have scored 2 the first half, I'm not making any excuse for him. The first one - we've bought you to score headers from 6 yards, the second one is a tap in from 4 yards, roll it in slow and it gets cleared - football 101. Ajayi should have dealt with their 2nd and he'll look back at that and not be amused at himself.
Its the same old story folks - key errors, or key things not happening at times they 'should' be happening.
Ref seemed intent on ruining the whole game last 20 minutes but that's not the reason why we lost.
We had a fair amount of the ball again but when players aren't firing it doesn't really mean much - no lack of effort though. Should have got a point.

Two decisions lost it for me - Wayne taking off Proctor ( D Ball can't win a header) and Ajayi ( why not row z?). I thought Proctor just lost MOM to Moore in my opinion. We could have easily scored 4 or 5 today - Newell winding up for the shot instead of just toeing across to Moore was a real chance lost when we were 1-1. Only ****ed off because I thought we should have won.
But isn't that typical of a Rotherham side Ex, key players not doing the right things at the right times which may sound obvious, but its a culture that seems to blight many a Millers side. Many of these players are new guys and not infected by the malaise of last season (at least I would hope not). I'm no soccer tactician Ex, but is it the coaching thats lacking?
To be fair i think we deserved a point from that game,The officials were not good today not just for us but for both teams.
Defensive blunder and the Posh took their chances today we didn't.
Im not worried some games it will click its a better performance than Fleetwood away.
We go again next time UTM.
We haven't got a decent goalkeeper on the books. Warne also needs an experienced centre back if he isn't going to give Belaid a chance and an energetic box to box central midfielder before the transfer window closes.
Don't think O'Dons did anything wrong to be honest, and did a really smart save in the 1st half and a couple of other routiners, his kicking was good and assured.
Decision making is not just about coaching now, its the blight of football now, players are terrible at it as its only 5 years ago the FA woke up to the fact that players need be taught this as kids, it will take another 15 years before we start seeing the benefit nationally and down through the english players in the leagues.
We don't teach kids specifics anymore and nail it in parrot fashion, football training for kids is about self discovery with guidance, coaches will then give different challenges and scenarios to adapt the thinking - at a quality grassroots club or academy you will see this happening, at the bad ones you'll see players stood about, in lines, doing this parrot fashion repetitive drills and yaaawn
Like i said on praise or grumble ....the best team lost today at peterboro. Our missed chances come back to bite us, 2 individual errors for their goals, add an awful ref...Made for a good game off football. I Still fancy us for the playoffs . I Would definitely take George Hirst ASAP. A draw would av been fair result. No probs with warney today except (taking williams off .. newell shud av been the only one subbed). Potter was great 1st half and frecklinton awesome second half.
