I think this is a big season for Joe Newell and that he could be a really important player for us.

We aren't blessed with either lots of creativity or many naturally left sided players (in fact no other natural left sided midfielder).  Newell offers both things.

He never got going last season after starting it with an injury and to me he never looked 100% fit.  No doubt in my mind though that if he is fit and at his game he has the quality to be an outstanding player in League 1.
