Warne has another player on his radar.

This has been well publicized. The named player could be well worth a punt.

It ain't a good idea to mention the player by name, but we have already put an offer on the table for him. The offer needs to be improved. I'm surprised people aren't already talking about the player on the radar. I hope that helps.

It wouldn't be wise at this time to name the intended player. In fact the player in question may now stay with his current club.

RUFC would need to improve on their offer.

It now appears that the probability of signing the intended striker on RUFC's radar may now be quite low for the foreseeable future.

Other players are available.

A couple of weeks ago (after we had signed David Ball) Warne said we needed a finisher to get us the goals that every top six side needs. Someone to get 25 goals a season. He apparently said yesterday that there will hopefully be two players joining us in Austria and that will be his 'full complement of players'. It looks like those two are Moore and Emmanuel from Ipswich.

Who is our 25 goal man? We haven't got anyone who has ever scored more than about 15 in a season in the football league.

I hope that Wotsisname is right and maybe we have got a surprise up our sleeve.

The player on RUFC's radar appears to be settled with his current club.

However, having watched a recent interview with the player he was aware that some clubs had made a number of bids.

None of the clubs were mentioned during the interview.

How far away were RUFC from landing their man?

I have refrained from naming the player so as not to disrupt possible further approaches to him and his club.
